Head too big.
It was a beautifully made helmet. For whatever reason, it was a little small for me. I used a sizing chart I saw somewhere; but, I guess either it, or my head, was a little off. Thankfully, the company authorized the return of the helmet, which shows they are considerate of things that could go wrong. Anyone interested in purchasing from this company should have no worries about customer service with them.

Sizing seems to run a little tight.
Very happy with the speed of service. Unfortunately, even after using the sizing chart, this helmet was just too small. I had not owned a Bell in many years and had never needed anything larger than a large. The helmet seemed to be high quality but it was just too tight. Nobody’s fault. I ordered an XL and look forward to its delivery.

Excellent quality. Excellent fit. My fourth (and probably my last) new Bell helmet. Not sure how much longer I can ride, but if I ever need another helmet, it will be a Bell.

I'll try a brand other than Bell next time
I've had my Bell Custom 500 helmet for approximately ten years and have only worn it twice. As I get older (and wiser) I tried wearing my helmet again for safety. The material on the ear pads is coming loose and covers my shirt and beard enough that it draws attention, and a few laughs, from anyone I'm visit with on the road. I've contacted Bell and they were not helpful nor are the Custom 500 ear pads are not replaceable. They also don't seem to care that many other people have noticed the poor quality of my Bell helmet. This seems like an easy fix, but they don't. I've since ordered a white Arai 3/4 helmet as a replacement and hope to have better luck.

The helmet fits well. My only complaint is it’s 10 months old
