Chapin 3-Gallon Industrial Sprayer

This sprayer is poorly designed and even dangerous. I had a Chapin 2.5 gallon sprayer for over 10 years. When the pump finally broke (my fault, actually), I replaced it with this one. I should have just bought a new pump for the old one. The issues:1. 3 gallons is too heavy to carry easily, especially on uneven terrain. It must be used with a flimsy shoulder strap (see No. 2) and that is very cumbersome.2. The pump handle does not lock securely. If one lifts the unit with the pump handle and puts even a slight counterclockwise twist on the lift, the handle will open, the tank will fall, and disaster.3. Most dangerous of all is that there is no pressure release on the tank. When one unscrews the pump handle with pressure remaining, you get a vertical whoosh of air and whatever you are spraying, directly in your face if you are looking down. The 2.5 gallon did NOT do this. It released pressure gradually with a slight twist of the handle. Not so for the 3.0.4. The spray wand, while lengthy, is flimsy. The entire sprayer is simply not as well made as its 2.5 gallon ancestor.

I bought this for my husband for an after-surfing spray down. I thought we'd need to find a better shower nozzle, but he likes it just the way it is. We also take it with us camping. Water gets warm, but we haven't experienced it getting too hot. It's been great for the whole family- and the dog when we're not near showers. The pressure isn't like a shower,, but it's great for a moderate spray down to get sand and dirt off.

Started to leak under heavy use, but still not terrible for the price. Taken care of, it could last very long.

Great sprayer! Puts out a perfect fan of spray so covers a large area very evenly. We are cleaning a very cigarette smoke damaged home and we scrub the walls with TSP solution and then use this sprayer to softly rinse the walls down. Works like a charm!

Not a bad sprayer, but its lacking in a couple areas. First, the carry/pump handle is very weak and bends severely when I tighten/loosen the lid. I am just waiting for it to break any day now. Second, there is no pressure release valve. Even my $20 Ortho sprayer had that. Instead of being able to safely release any unused pressure, I am forced to unscrew the lid with puts more stress on the already flimsy handle and blows any liquid/chemicals up at my face when it is opened.

Daughter is using this (with the shower head adapter) as her camp shower. The black color will absorb the suns heat and allow her to have a nice warm shower while out camping. Well made. Please note: NEVER USED FOR CHEMICALS...was thoroughly cleaned and will house water for her only.

Plastic extension was poorly Threaded and will not correctly tighten so it leaks , I just use it with the small nozzles it came with , 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

This product works really well, the hose is flexable and the construction is well made.We use it as a shower on our boat, and when the power went out at our house.We changed the end of the sprayer to get a wider spray pattern. Overall very happy with this purchase.
