This windshield repair kit did a far better job than those suction cup twist things. I used a 3M windshield repair on my star crack and it didn't look like it did a thing except fill in the center. I was very disappointed. I cleaned it out as best I could and tried a Blue-Star kit over the top of it. The crack is GONE! I'll be buying more of these since my windshield is a gravel magnet.

This did the trick in stopping the chip from cracking and or spreading, but it did not do the best job of hiding the chip. Otherwise, it was easy to use and I do like this style of kit to others.

I did not get any where near a perfect result cosmetically but I found out the hard way that that it did a fantastic job preventing crack spread. Cosmetically it also looks as good or better than a similar divot fixed by a local glass specialist which was also far from perfect IMO. I think the suctioning action of this specific kit really helped prevent bubbles that would have been visible.My divots/cracks were both barely smaller than a quarter, including the many cracks coming out around them from every side of the divot. If they were closer to constant line of sight I'm sure they would still probably catch my eye and bother me and make me wish I replaced the windshield. One divot was very low on the windshield and one was eye level but pretty centered between driver and passenger. The repair was far from perfect but also so much of an improvement that what use to catch my eye all the time now goes unnoticed for very long periods of time even though my eye must pass over it regularly when I'm not looking straight ahead.I was most worried that the cracks would continue after the repair but I tested that quite unexpected when my hood latch safety failed and the hood slammed back into my windshield at 45mph. It was so violent that everyone in my vehicle was shocked it didn't destroy the windshield. But the damage this kit covered was not effected and what could still be seen of the sealed cracks didn't even get any bigger at all.

I actually bought this almost 3 years ago. I was nervous to try and repair the one chip I had in my windshield myself. Local glass company wanted two hundred dollars to repair one chip. The chip wasn't in my field of vision when driving so I just left it alone. Several weeks ago I got hit with a rock on the highway. This chip was definitely noticeable and this time I could see it when I was driving. Decided to break out this two pack and give it a shot fixing it myself.I watched a couple videos on online first and that gave me the confidence to tackle my two chips. This thing couldn't be easier. The instructions are clear, concise, very easy to follow. This kit worked like a charm. The repairs look great. Are the 100% perfect? No, but these kits aren't designed for a 100% fix. If you absolutely need to not be able to see the chip at all in your windshield then you'll have to replace the windshield. If you want an affordable solution that ensures your windshield won't further crack and looks decent then this is a good option. Percentage wise I'd say the chips are about 75% better than they were previously.Just make sure to follow the directions and you'll be fine. After reading a lot of reviews for this product and similar ones it seems where people mess up is the final step with the yellow UV curing strip and how long to leave the vehicle in the sun. A lot of the one star reviews is because the person put the dab of resin on after removing the funnel piece and then didn't put the yellow UV curing strip at all and just put the car in the sun. The resin will not cure unless the yellow UV curing strip is placed on top.

I had a tiny chip in my windshield and after being quoted $75 for a microscopic repair I watched some tutorials and thought I'd give it a try myself.The Chris Fix YouTube video used this exact kit, which is why I opted for it.When I went to add the resin to the pedestal it all stayed at the top so no more than a drop made it to the actual sight of the chip. I tried to disperse the liquid and get it to the base, but no success.

If your bothered by those small nicks, this will definitely reduce the visibility of then “almost” as if they’re not there

This is a fantastic product. It does the job pretty well. If you expect this will make your windshield a factory build, non-scratched glass, you have no option but to change the entire glass. However, if you wish to repair it as best as possible, give this product a chance. Instruction is easy. Just one big advice: DO NOT DOo it late afternoon or evening when the UV light becomes to a minimum, or you will ruin the last step! It does need sunlight, either direct (quicker fixation) or indirect (cloudy sky), to use UV to fix the resin!

It's really worth it, get it fast while the chip is small

Compared to Canadian tire, the kit I got there didn't even come with a razor blade needed for the repair and it cost $17 as well. At $10, its worth getting and working on the repairs yourself if you have a spare hour. There is also enough resin to fill in other pits that have yet to crack. I'd buy this again.
