One Year Update - Too many shortcomings to make it worth it for me
Update 11/1/20 - I ended up removing this and purchasing a Kenwood front and rear dash cam. The main issue that I ended up having with this that was a deal breaker was that the unit only works when the rearview mirror is pointed straight ahead because the dashcam is not adjustable. This means that the rearview mirror will never be angled correctly to use it like a mirror. Therefore, in order to use the rearview mirror, you have to use the rear camera video feed because otherwise the rearview mirror will not be lined up. This is fine in most conditions and actually enhances what you can see behind you but in certain conditions the rear camera feed is very poor and not usable. For example, when it is raining a drop of rain can get on the camera lens and prevent you from seeing. Very bright conditions or headlights can flood the image with too much light. You can turn off the camera and just use the screen as a mirror but the mirror is not as reflective and therefore darker than a normal mirror. You also have to adjust the angle of the mirror to see out of it correctly but by doing so, the front camera is going to be facing off to an angle. Just having the ability to have an adjustable front camera would have fixed most of these issues, allowing you to keep the rearview mirror at a usable angle and turn off the video feed whenever conditions were poor for the camera. These are things that would not be a problem if this wasn't another knockoff product along with a 100 other brands that are making the same exact thing. I am deducting a star and I think this only serves a purpose for people who have no other options.Original Post___________________________________________________________________________________________For the money, this is a really nice solution for people that need a backup camera and want dual front and rear dash cams. I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler. I got the 10 inch screen with the GPS option. There was just enough wire to run the rear camera around to the back spare tire in a way that no wire is visible. I was able to run the wire through existing wire paths in the back hatch. I purchased a tire mount camera bracket so the camera can sit through the wheel hole in the back kind of like the 2019 models have. I think this is a good way of bringing the vehicle up to new car standards without spending a lot money.Having said that, there are a few things that I would have liked to have seen.#1. The date and time format is year/month/day and there is no way to change it. The clock is military time only and again no way to change it to 12hour.#2. The GPS speedometer is km/hr and no way to change to MPH.#3. The GPS is a separate cord and unit that plugs into the main unit. This means another cable to run. The unit is already near the front mirror, why not just have the GPS built into the main unit.#4 The front video is slightly tilted. You can see other people pictures. The front camera has some slight rotational play so you can make it somewhat better but its not perfect.#5 Mine was defaulted to Chinese or Korean or something and there is no instructions that walk you through the menu. I had to click through everything until I happened upon the language menu.#6 The GPS speed lags behind your actually speed by a good bit. It takes several seconds to register that I have stopped. Not sure if the GPS speed data is captured on the video. It would not be helpful if you were accelerating or decelerating when something happened, as the speed would not be accurate.#7 I am not impressed with the overall mounting system. The hooks and rubber bands is cheap and tacky looking. The hooks stick up and take away from the otherwise smooth profile. Why not have a nylon strap system that would be lower profile and be more adjustable. The rubber bands only adjust as much as the rubber stretches. My rear view mirror is very thick as it has light built into it and I had to use another set of bands and a ziptie to get it to stay on. I have reservations of how long a rubber band is going to last being exposed to direct sunlight in a hot car. (see pic)#8 The way the cables plug into the unit is not great and again makes it hard to run the cables in a way that is not tacky looking. The power cable has a 90 degree plug that forces the wire to the side for some reason. If this is going on a on rear view mirror, aren't the cables going to go back and up to the ceiling of the car? Also, all the cables are not directly beside each other. The SD card slot splits the GPS cord from the other 2 cables. Therefore, the cables can not be bundled as nicely together. I know this is a little nit picky but with a few changes, it could easily look so much more integrated into the car without looking like an add on. I almost want to take the GPS unit off because its ugly and not accurate except when cruising.I would have gladly paid another $50 for these issues to have been addressed because, honestly it is a really nice solution for having dual mounted cameras and a backup camera for way less than the cost of an integrated system. If paying $200 for a premium add on saves me from having to pay over $1000 for an integrated solution, its still a good deal. I have not found anything that looked more premium than this though.

Do I need a firmware update?
The recording quality is not very good. I can only set the recording to SHD 30 fps or FHD 30 fps. I see other reviews stating they can set it to 60 fps which I believe will help.It is simple to install but you need to take your time. Everything works and it is very user friendly having to just swipe here and there on the mirror itself. Until I can figure out how to update it (maybe I have to return it) I cannot give it more than 3 stars.

Good-quality useable, and much better than Factory backup camera units.
Very well-built, easy to install, nice set up, the only downside is you can't change it from kph to mph in the settings. The visual quality of the camera and the screen surpasses any Factory in dash reverse camera I've seen yet.
