Loved the mantel! All natural wood with character. Saw previous reviews about how it looks, but the manufacturer was on point about natural wood texture. If you are looking for faux wood...this product is not for you. Real WOOD and easy mounting!

These are excellent quality, solid wood shelves and look great! I chose to go with unfinished shelves so I could stain to match our home's wood tones. The rough texture was easier to stain with a mini roller than I thought it would be.I bought the 72" shelves to cut down to 68.875" to be flush wall to wall in our pantry. This made my install more difficult. Because my studs are not centered on the wall in this pantry closet, the (4) pre-drilled holes on the back of the shelves must align with the 4 pegs on your mounting brackets. I had to cut different lengths off of each side of the shelves to ensure proper alignment. Although I was able to hit 4 studs with the existing pre-drilled holes on your brackets, having more holes to allow centering on the wall would have made cutting and mounting for this type of install much easier. I used a 2 x 4 to make a template ensure the whole placement aligned with the pegs on the mounting brackets before cutting my shelf and I am very glad I did to avoid a costly mistake.I also mounted the bottom shelf with the screw holes to secure the shelf facing downward so they were are not visible at eye level for a cleaner look. This seems to be equally as strong as the other shelf where the screws are on the top side of the shelf. This made my wife happy.

I do love the look of this mantle it matches the rest of my house, it’s a solid piece of wood and was quite easy to install and came with all the pieces and level to ensure it’s hung properly.I did remove a star because the wood is still very raw despite the stain grey color. I snagged and got a sliver while putting it up off the edge, definitely could have been finished up more. Probably should have gotten the unstained piece and did it myself but who knew…And the top of the shelf on one side is not quit flat so I have to be very careful how to place anything there. But all in all its not enough for me to feel the need to return.Other then that I’m quit fond of the finished look it gives to my fire place.

This mantle was easy to install and looks great. We were renovating our house and had a fireplace that looked empty. This really brought some character to it!

We love our new mantel, but the metal frame was bent on arrival, which made it hard to install straight over the fireplace. It was also VERY heavy, so this is a legit mantle and the grain was beautiful. But, since it was really heavy, it leaned away from the wall. We added extra braces under each side and it looks great. It's very sturdy and it adds a cozy element to our fireplace.

This product was easy to install and the design was perfect for our family room...simple yet attractive.

I was a good concept and nice wood, but it had some damage, such as a couple holes drilled on the surface. I should have returned it but instead I patched and stained. Looks good now.

Comes in a bit rough, could use a little more sanding, and I had to varnish it myself but happy with my purchase.

I paid for express delivery and when I opened it the mantel was damaged. Have to return.

The piece is very sturdy and the color is a nice grey, but unfortunately it came damaged. I am returning it...

Colour does not match description and photos. Stain on wood was uneven and comes off easily (one wipe with a wet rag and colour fades). Wood quality is heavy and solid along with the frame, but my piece had holes and gaps and cracks in multiple places. I was disappointed considering the money I paid. Poor overall quality control and workmanship.
