Our Samsung TV's One Connect Mini failed which took out all the HDMI connectivity. All kindly out of an extended warranty. These items are expensive to replace and are rare to find. Fortunately the composite connectivity is built into the tv, not the mini. I did a bit of research on line and came across this little device. Worth a punt to save outlaying potentially £100+ and hopefully an instant fix for our Virginmedia TV box . I'm pleased to announce the device works a treat and I'm well impressed. Lifesaver. Picture and sound quality have up to now proven to be top class. 1080p without any issues.

I was sceptical itlf it will work with my setup. Yet it's perfectly capable to convert hdmi signal from PS4 (regardless the type of it ie. games, streaming and BR discs) to component output. This allowed me to use my Epson projector again after for no reason hdmi ports died. Picture is not as good as original signal but works fine. Especially considering price tag🙂 I have plug in usb power into projector which looks much cleaner 👍

Good item and does the job, however be sure you select the correct frequency! It has 50 and 60Hz modes and my Sky Q outputs at 50Hz so if I set this to 60Hz (which it was at first) it seems to work fine but every few seconds the image sort of stutters, as if it's having to drop frames maybe. It's only minor, so I suspect many people have it on the wrong mode and don't realise, but on slow panning scenes it is annoying, so worth checking! Otherwise, the quality is fine but I notice the colours aren't quite as bright and crisp through this, as with direct HDMI, but that could be due to the component input on my telly maybe?

I use this on the flat screen TV and my bedroom because it didn't have an HDMI plug and it's great

I have a Sky+ HD box that outputs 1080 HD in interlaced format. The box attempts to convert this to 1080p which is fine if you don't object to a slight amount of judder on movement and/or flicker on some horizontal/on screen graphics. I purchased it to drive my HDPVR that only accepts native 1080i so the maximum usable resolution is only 720p.If these things don't effect you then I can recommend the box, it worked with or without power the USB lead. It gets quite warm when in use.

Connecting the 1st of 3 video signal connectors (green) gives a bright, but blurred and over posed image. Connecting the other video signal connectors however makes no difference whatsoever to the image quality. Bought so that I could free up an HDMI port for another device, but as I’m plugging CCTV camera feed into this, the image quality isn’t good enough (in fact this purchase was a complete waste of money).Tried clicking on the Ask Seller A Question link on the Amazon site, but it just returns an error message and I’m unable to request help. In fairness to the seller, I will update this rating if they’re able to assist with a resolution on this issue.** Update: now 3 months later and nothing from the seller at all, so I guess I was right to leave my previous review.

Great item. Works as described. It works with PS4 AND PS4 PRO. You can connect it on the ps4 with the hdmi cable and connect the component side of the adapter on your old tv or projector. Your old tv or projection has to have a composent video input though. Then it works straight away. For PS4 PRO it is the same thing only PS4 PRO has a software function to downgrade the HDMI 2.0 cable to HDMI 1.4. Please look online. If you do this then it work. The description of this item is wrong as far as the ps4 is concerned.

Discovered the HDMI slots did not work on the bedroom TV following a cable install. Bought this to convert the HDMI output to component as these slots still work.Arrived within a day way ahead of schedule. Plugged in and it did the trick giving a HD quality picture.At this moment very satisfied with the purchase
