Proudly made in the U.S. The superMOPI is a light-weight ride-on toy that kids as young as 18 months can ride, lift, and carry along. Builds muscles, gross motor skills, and stamina, promotes self-confidence and independence. Stands on three wide wheels so balancing is not a pre-requisite but will be developed gradually. As balancing skills develop, toddlers can speed up, race and chase each other, zigzag, and maneuver with legs in the air. Recessed back wheels make way for a comfortable, wide range of motion. Steering is an essential part of the superMOPI experience, makes it fun and challenging, and enhances kids' coordination. Riding the superMOPI is pure joy for toddlers but it also prepares them for a fast transition to a child bike without training wheels. Tiny, compact, and light, the superMOPI delights toddlers and parents alike - they will take it along wherever they go. A fun and convenient umbrella stroller alternative, promoting a healthy, active life-style from this early age. For outdoor and indoor use. Max. rider weight: 50 lbs. Safety certified. Also available in XL size for older kids. See how to ride it in superMOPI videos posted on youtube.

Favorite toy of his toddler years. Used indoors (constantly!) and out.
Hands down my son's very FAVORITE toy ever...he got on it just before 2 years old and wouldn't get off it till he was 3+. It's super lightweight plastic so yeah, it feels way cheap and unsubstantial, but it holds up to constant use and the advantage is they can pick it up themselves (yes!), and YOU can pick it up easily while juggling 90 pounds of other stuff at the park or whatever. Our house layout has sort of a built-in "track" where he could ride it in a big loop between rooms, going from tile to carpet with no issue -- fun to see him motoring around constantly. When he got a little older, he felt safe really getting going (sideways!) on the tile since it's low to the ground and he was in complete control. He also used it a lot on flat sidewalks, hard/flat dirt areas, etc. The price is high, but I never came across any other ride-on thing out there that's so basic, simple, easy and FUN for a toddler/little kid whether in the house or outside. I was a little concerned that the handlebars fully rotate, and worried that if he fell off/tipped it he'd end up with a small plastic handlebar poking him in the belly...while he did tip over or lay it on its side sometimes (not really too much of a worry since they control so much with their legs AND they're sorta close to the ground), the handlebar thing was a non-issue. He's 6 now and if they made a size that'd fit him I'd buy it in a heartbeat! Even though he now rides a bike with training wheels outdoors, the rainy "trapped inside" months are long and I'd LOVE to have a lightweight riding thing for him indoors.

No more doubts
I had my doubts when I read that this "piece of plastic" was the best invention for toddlers who love ride-ons. I have twin 25 month olds. My daughter won't ride on anything and my son is loyal to his beat up hand-me-down truck that I know will "break down" any day now. He has so much fun on it, I really wanted something for my daughter. Despite the fact that they are tall (36" each and 26 & 30 lbs respectively) I ordered the smaller MOPI. I was worried my daughter would tip the bigger one and give up on it immediately. I was disappointed amazon didn't list height so I could get a better idea of which one to order. I went to the product website and got the dimensions I needed. We received the MOPI today and as soon as my daughter saw it, she climbed on. This is not unusual - she is always willing to try something new, but is typically quick to discard it. It's been four hours and she won't get off of it. She won't even let her brother try it, so it looks like I'll be ordering another one. It is the perfect height for her (and I see growth potential) plus she has already mastered turns and gliding along the wood floors with both feet up. I cannot believe how much she loves this thing. She even wanted to bring it upstairs to go "night night" with her - a special invitation usually only extended to baby dolls and stuffed animals. To any of you who have doubts, all I can say is this - I did BIG TIME and I'm so happy I forged ahead and bought it anyway. Even though it is light, cheap-looking and looks incredibly small when you first take it out of the box, keep in mind that looks are deceiving. It is sturdy as anything and I love that my daughter can carry it on her own or lift it up to go from wood floor to thick carpet. Definitely worth it.

Great bike for 2 yr old
We bought this MOPI for our son's 2nd birthday, and for the past 4 months, he has loved riding on it. He wants to ride on it every day, even in the pouring rain. He can go pretty fast on it now, and has really figured out balancing and coasting. When he first got it, he did try riding it right away, but more as a ride-on, and would just slowly walk it. Since he is 90th percentile on height and weight we are thinking about getting a larger bike soon, and did just try out some 10" wheel bikes with training wheels, but we might get the XL MOPI or the Strider balance bike instead of one with pedals.

These ride-ons are very popular in Hungary (where this one is made and sell for about $10 there) and are great to help kids develop legs and motor coordination skills as a precursor to bicycle riding. The steerable front wheel help kids maneuver the bikes easily. They are very light weight, have no annoying electric noise makers, and are quite durable. They're great fun for kids even up to 5-6 years of age, and it's common to see kids zooming around faster than you could walk, and even going down hills faster than you could run!
