Great value
I’m happy I ordered this brand. I made a ice matcha latte and it was delicious.

Pretty Good Matcha Green Tea Powder
This doesn't have as much "green" flavor as the brand I was drinking previously (which was discontinued, thus my need to find something else). It's tasty--it just doesn't have the sort of pop I was hoping for. The price is pretty good and I like the fact that it's Japanese matcha instead of coming from China or Korea. Their farming and harvesting practices can be iffy, and some of those matcha powders get pretty bad reviews. This tea is a fairly bright green and smells good in the bag, so there are two thumbs up. Unfortunately, it's the same price for half the amount I was getting before, but it's the best I could find for my budget and what I want to use it for. I'm not going to shell out the money for ceremonial grade green tea powder just to use for matcha lattes...I had ordered another kind that was supposedly organic and all sorts of other certifications, but it was brown and smelled rancid when I opened the bag, so I returned it. I ordered another kind after that, only to discover it was just green tea powder, which is absolutely NOT the same thing as matcha green tea powder. It, too, was brown, and although it didn't smell bad, all I could taste were the bitter tannins without any of that pleasant grassy flavor matcha gives you, so I gave that bag to a friend who wanted it.I use this matcha green tea powder for a latte every morning. I use a teaspoon of powder whisked with about 4oz of boiling water, and then I fill the rest of my 10oz cup with unsweetened soy milk. I don't sweeten it at all because I like the taste of the matcha tea and don't want the sugar. It's good, but it's not as strong as the brand I loved. Adding more powder just makes it grittier, so I've just been adding a little less water and soy milk with this powder to make the tea taste stronger.I'd recommend it for anyone who is looking for culinary grade matcha that doesn't have sugar or milk powder added to it. It's good for lattes or smoothies or possibly baking. It's not noteworthy as regular hot tea--it's not offensively bitter or astringent, but it doesn't taste like much of anything, either. I'll stick to my latte and keep looking for other choices. In the meantime, this one will do.

Good stuff but I'm still learning where/how I use it.
I came to the realization I don't think I really like Match tea but I can't knock this powder for that. I've had it before from Starbucks in coffees/teas just a few times to see if I'd like it and believe it tastes just the same there. I can see some of the appeal but just don't think it's for me.At home I added some with my cold brew coffee and a splash of almond milk and a little 1/2 scoop of chocolate protein powder. In that experiment I felt it balanced out some of the flavors but I should have added a splash of a coffee syrup or maybe chocolate almond milk. But overall I felt this was more enjoyable than what I've had from Starbucks. When I've gotten it from them I felt like I was drinking something with the texture of what I'd imagine fish food flakes to be like..All in all the product is better than what Starbucks uses plus this is organic and just the Matcha. I hope to find some other uses which I'll like this in other than beverages. I am going to try and add some to a batch of cookie dough where there is hopefully enough sweetness and other flavors to balance some of that earthy taste it offers up.

Not bad, but I've found better
Ancestral Roots Organic Matcha Powder - 100% Pure, USDA Certified Organic Matcha Powder – 4.5ozIt’s drinkable, as long as you’re not a matcha connoisseur or you make a latte with it. I can drink this straight, but I don’t enjoy it much. It’s not as bitter as the color suggests. It does have that muddy after taste that brownish/yellowish matchas have. Zen no Megumi Organic Premium, the matcha I drink every day right now, is way better in aroma, color, and taste. And I buy it in bulk so the price difference is only $0.60 per 100g. If you don’t buy it in bulk the difference is $7.00 per 100g. I think Ancestral Roots Matcha is equivalent to Zen no Megumi’s Standard class matcha in flavor. It’s definitely better than cooking matcha, but it’s not that enjoyable to sip on.Most matcha lattes you buy at a big coffee shops are made out of culinary matchas. And surprisingly, the healthy benefits of high grade matcha and low grade matchas are the same (as long as it’s stored the same way). So for most people I think culinary grade matchas are sufficient. If you do like to drink them straight, I would give Zen no Megumi a try. It’s not ceremonial grade, which is also unnecessary for most people, but it’s a very affordable everyday matcha.I have been on a matcha diet for health, and in order to get the fat burning benefits, you have to ingest around 6g a day. That’s a table spoon. It’s impossible if you are drinking ceremonial grade matcha. I’m don’t really notice any fat burning, but I have replaced my coffee with it, and I do enjoy the smooth energy I get from matchas.

It's ok!
This is my first foray into Matcha and I was curious about all the hype, so when I had the opportunity to try it for free (thanks Amazon Vine!) I couldn't pass it up. It's ok. For other newbies like me, it tastes very green and healthy. A cross between grassy floral notes and seaweed. My son said it tasted like something I raked up in the back yard 🤣! I tried it both straight up hot and iced in a latte. I prefer the iced better, but drink it quick or it will seperate. All in all, I am happy I had the chance to try it, and the health benefits are certainly noteworthy, but it's not for me!
