I've had this bag for over a year and a half, and I've found it to be just what I need. It fits a medium sized laptop and a few thick textbooks, or in my case, my Meta Quest and a BT keyboard. The strap is comfortable and very adjustable. Lots of individual pockets of varying sizes. My only complaint there is sometimes the magnets on the flap come unbuttoned, but that takes two seconds to fix so no big deal. It's very durable, and the only time I had to fix it was when a stitch came out on the elastic water bottle pocket, but that was just a manufacturing defect on my bag, so that shouldn't be a problem for you. Otherwise that pocket works great and snugly holds my Camelbak. All in all, highly recommended!

Perfect size for our needs. Holds a lot, but is smaller then a standard bookbag. Works great as a purse. Color is a little lighter than expected. Sturdy material. Would recommend.

So I've had this bag for 2 years now without issue, though admittedly it hasn't seen truly heavy use like my main (larger) messenger bag.This bag has a great layout because the front and flap pockets are usable when the main compartment is full, and the interior pockets don't interfere with filling it to capacity.For comparison, I originally bought a peak design tech pouch, but it had too many dividers and pockets. I tried squeezing everything in my main Tumi messenger, but when the central compartment is full the organizer pockets are essentially unusable. I ended up buying this which was really too big for the gadget I had in mind, but the price is really good compared to similar bags from the name brands and I was so frustrated I was ready to try anything.The bag is of surprisingly good quality for the price. While obviously the material isn't very premium (like obviously the leather isn't real), it doesn't feel cheap either. It has that durable utilitarian vibe, and has survived 2 years of light to moderate use (since it only supplemented my everyday bag, as intended). The magnetic clasp holds reasonably well without being difficult to separate with one hand.My original plan didn't work out so I ended up repurposing this bag for my Nintendo switch, with plenty of room for the power adapter, cables, travel dock, and extra controllers. It is the perfect size for this, in my opinion.I might consider the larger size to replace my everyday bag when it wears out, though I suspect it will be quite some time before I will need to replace either my supplemental leaper canvas or my EDC.

Enjoying this bag very much. Not only is it a good-looking bag, and very secure, it also holds everything I need it to, is comfortable, and very durable—except that one of the flap magnets fell off (don’t know where) so half the flap’s not secured. Would be great to get a replacement!

This was an upgrade from a smaller bag I had...and it has impressed. More than enough room for a thin laptop, even a thicket book or two, and plenty of storage space for everyday use items.On top of that, it looks real nice...the leather accents put it over the top, and the locking feature was a nice touch for travellers.

Chances are you're gonna have to check your bags at the airport, carry-on or not. This is the perfect pouch for anything you'll need in flight. It has inside zipped pockets, outside zipped pockets, a top mounted carry handle, and a convienient sling for throwing it over your shoulder keeping both hands free...AND it doesn't need to stow in an overhead compartment.

i admit that i only received this day-before-yesterday and this review obviously can't cover more than the initial impression(s). i've spent hours on amazon over the last two days trying to compare bags and backpacks and it's nearly impossible to do without being able to see and handle them in person. thus, my first two attempts were total duds and so cheap they weren't even worth returning.the hardest part is trying to estimate how large they'll be when you're carrying them. i wanted one only about 1/2 to 2/3rds the size of those i see people carrying for 17" laptops, but i needed it large enough to carry an ipad in its own case with its accessories. i also wanted a water bottle holder on the side. it didn't really matter to me whether it had one or two straps, thus i considered backpacks as well as sling bags such as this one.and i kept coming across those swedish rucksacks which seemed to be the most highly rated. but they only had 3-4 pockets at most and no side pocket that would hold even a small water bottle. loved the mini and the regular size though--those sizes (11-14") was just about perfect.so obviously i came across this one late in my search and i was skeptical because there are a lot of companies who game the ratings and you can mainly tell them by their capital letters in their descriptions and the overflowing praise for the product. but even though this one was an unfamiliar brand and didn't have those warning signs and had 55 seemingly solid reviews, i went with it even though i would far prefer the high-tech buckles instead of the old fashioned slow buckles this one seemed to have.but i was pleasantly surprised on several fronts when i had it in front of me. first, the material was heavier-duty than i expected, giving it a quality feel. next, the buckles turned out to really be snaps and you didn't really have to use them. i wish they'd left all of them off entirely, but ...there were more pockets and sleeves than i expected which will really help with organization. i was easily able to fit the ipad inside its own case full of accessories and my kindle as well in the main compartment and there are some more sleeved compartments still in there i haven't used.i distributed much more smaller items in the other pockets and i still have the front zippered one left for easy access documents and another pocket for snacks or occasional items. it's pretty fully packed (80-90% i'd say) and pretty heavy. i like that it will (usually) stand up on the narrow but flat bottom as long as i arrange items the right way.the single strap can be set for left or right shoulder carry or cross body carry. haven't carried it anywhere yet, so can't comment on the comfort. it's not as padded as some, but it is wide and hopefully will distribute the weight.actually, the single point of disappointment is the side pocket which is narrow and small and flapped. and it would be ok if i wasn't wanting it for a water bottle. luckily i had a zojirushi 16oz bottle that is slim enough i could fit in there, but i think a 20 or 25oz one would be impossible. and it would have been nice to have another side pocket for a travel umbrella or at least if the decorative buckles and straps could be adjusted to hold it horizontally. i'll figure something out.bottom line is that i'm very pleased with this purchase. i hope i get a lot of use from it. /guy

I got the wrong size shoulder bag - I was trying to buy the size smaller than this but after receiving it I realized that it's just such a nice bag that I didn't want to send it back lol. The sturdy canvas is soft and a beautiful shade of blue and all the stitching and seams are very sturdy. It has lots of nice pockets inside and out and even a little mesh pocket on the one side for putting a water bottle. I decided to use it as a day bag for outings with my kids instead of a regular purse (as it is too big for that - it is more a small backpack in size) and it can carry so much stuff. I also like that the over-the-shoulder strap can be switched from right to left so regardless of how you like to carry a messenger bag like this it will be comfortable: the strap itself is also pretty comfy where it goes over the shoulder. Overall, even though it was not the bag I wanted, it's the bag I think I needed and I don't regret buying it. I will probably order the smaller bag anyway as I was so happy with the quality on this one.
