This has helped my liver and some.
Update:I forgot that I did not provide an update on the results of taking Triphala as I said I would. After four weeks, I had my liver, kidneys, cholesterol. thyroid, magnesium and blood pressure tests and the results were normal. I was particularly worried about my liver and was very happy to get such results. The yellow colouring of my eyes and skin was noticeably disappearing and I felt so much better. I took Ashwagandah and Brahmi which I think also helped, not forgetting to take magnesium, vitamin D3 with K2 and vitamin B complex for a short time.I have read that taking too high doses of Triphala can cause side effects, moderation is the key. Pregnant women or women breast feeding should not take Triphala, also those on blood pressure medication or any other medication are advised not to take it with their medication. It has the ability of lowering blood pressure too much. In fact if you are on any medication, it is best to see an ayurvedic practitioner before taking these herbs. I am not on any medication so I felt I was ok taking them. I have a friend who happens to be a Natural Health Practitioner that advises me on what and how much to take.I ordered another packet of Triphala recently and was amazed that this new packet had no instructions on how much to take or how it should be taken. Only people who have bought this before would order it again. I have no idea why they would want to leave off the instructions on the packets.I don't particularly like taking Triphala in the powder form because it tastes really horrible and cannot be compared to anything else. I have taken it in capsule form before and found it to be a really good detox. While I was in the Caribbean I drank mugfulls daily of a herbal tea that I should only have been drinking a quarter of. It was meant to relieve fatigue and boost energy. It did that but I drank it for almost two months and it was having the opposite effect and my liver became toxic. I ended up in hospital hooked up to an IV, also receiving medication intravenously. I was told to drink lots of water everyday and was put on a plant based diet for a month. I decided that when I returned to the UK I would start taking Triphala to further help my liver to detox. I have only been taking Triphala for three days and already I can see some results. I hope to continue taking this for at least two weeks.I drink it on an empty stomach each morning, boiled in water with ginger and turmeric powder and a pinch of blackpepper for better absorption. The reason I am taking it in this form is because it needs to be boiled and is more suitable for my condition. I hope to write a full review of my results after two weeks.

The taste is not great.
Only 4 stars because of the taste. I would advice getting some empty capsules from amazon and filling them with this and taking that why. I did that with Indian rubarb root. Capsules come in all different sizes and come with little spatulas to fill the capsules.

Good Quality & Packaging
Very happy with this Triphala powder. The packaging is strong and secure, and the powder is fresh and fine in texture. Feels natural and effective. Great value for organic quality!

Bitter
I knew it would be bitter but yikes. Even with juice or honey the bitter aftertaste remains. Can't say I noticed any difference health wise and it was a struggle to drink each day so not for me.Not sure if the health benefits would have improved with use but I gave up so can't comment on long term use

Used it to make Ayurvedic tooth powder
I've used this, alongside neem powder, liquorice powder, clove and cinnamon powder, along with baking soda, to make an ayurvedic toothpowder. It obviously doesn't taste minty, the taste is bitter and not pleasant, however, adding stevia and mixing it with coconut oil produces a better tasting version (though still won't be to everyone's taste-as not minty!)Well, the taste might be different, but the results?I put a small amount of Himalaya clove toothpaste on my manual toothbrush, and add a pinch of the ayurvedic toothpaste mixture-and oh, my god, exceptional clean, super squeaky clean teeth, gets rid of all the crap on the teeth, and takes the power of the Himalaya clove toothpaste further.I'd recommend looking up ayurvedic toothpowder recipes, and add coconut oil-you will really notice the difference, super clean teeth!

Body boost
Absolutely wonderful has helped my bowels movements naturally in such a short time plus given my a healthy glow doesn't have a very nice taste but easily solved by adding honey, also mixed into a paste with a little water makes a really nice exfoliator.
