An Absolute Work of Art
I. SPEED OF SHIPPINGI placed my order for this razor and brush stand on 15 JULY 2024. It arrived three days later on 18 JULY 2024 and was in pristine condition. Thank you, USPS dude/dudette/dudeX for not punting my package to my door for fear of the invisible barking dog behind said door. He just wants to sniff you and love on you. I don't know why he acts like that. He's just really socially awkward and doesn't know how to express his feelings appropriately.II. APPEARANCE OF PRODUCTIt's gorgeous. The gunmetal tone of the steel is just so beautiful to me--it's not a simple beauty, though. It has a very elegant mood to it, while not being too garish and obnoxiously flashy like chrome, nor too sad and depressing like black. It's almost smoldering in a way. To me, it says "I'm right here holding your gear for you. If you need to shave, I got you. If not, I'm still here, chilling, doing my thing," as opposed to the "Look at me! Look at me! Look at me!" of the chrome or the "All life is suffering and I'm going to go write a poem about how I love razor nicks because they remind of the constant pain of existence" or maybe it's "I gotta make everybody think I'm tough and intimidating so I'm gonna sit here and hold this stuff and snarl at everybody" of the black. Or is it maybe "All Hail Baʿal Zebub, Lord of the Flies, Prince of Hell!"? Black is just too complicated for me.And the curvaceous form is just beautiful. It just flows naturally and doesn't distract the eye. It's rather soothing, really.III. FUNCTIONIt's perfect. It is compact enough to not take a lot of space on your counter or sink, but it's also large enough to hold any size brush and razor--or I should say that I've never seen a double-edge or cartridge razor that would not fit in this stand. If you need something bigger, perhaps you're looking for a power tool organizer over in hardware.Same goes for brushes. There may be some handmade exotic one-of-a-kind shaving brushes out there with a knot size bigger than 28mm / 1 1/8 in., but I've never seen them, so whatever brush you have, this guy should be able to handle it. The knot size is the diameter of brush bristles where they protrude from inside the handle, if you're not familiar with the term. If your brush handle is narrower (at its thickest part) than 35.5mm / 1 3/8 in., it's too small for the brush holder. As for the razor, I use a Merkur 39C Heavy Duty Long Handle "Barber Pole," which is 102.6mm / 4 in. in overall length, and is 16.1mm / 5/8 in. in diameter at the thickest part of the handle. A lot of people prefer a smaller razor like the Merkur 37C or 34C and this razor/brush stand will accommodate those as well. Both of those razors have 77.1mm / 3 1/16 in. handle length and the stand will hold a razor with a minimum handle length of 72.3mm / 2 7/8 in. if you want your razor to be held by both the top and bottom holders. The razor base holder has a 15.2mm / 9/16 in. inside diameter, so if the base of your razor is thicker than that, it, it'll just have sit on top of the little recess.. If your razor is too short, it can just dangle from the upper ring and it'll be all right. Nobody's judging. I should add that if you have a particularly girthy razor handle, the top ring that holds the razor head is 20.9mm / 13/16 in. inside diameter, so anything thicker than that and you're going to have to go shopping in the tool organizer section in hardware again. As far as cartridge razors like Gillette Mach3 or whatnot, I have to defer to the interwebs, because I don't mess with that stuff. Google says the handle on a Mach3 is 84.8mm / 3 5/16 in. - 139.7mm / 5 1/2 in. I'm not familiar with any other models of the millions of cartridge razor systems out there like Schick or Dollar Shave Club or whatever, but I'd imagine they're probably in the same range.IV: SUMMARYI love it. I can't speak to longevity or durability or rust-resistance yet, since I've only had it a few days. I do know it looks beautiful and classes up my troll cave of a bathroom. The color is perfect. It suits me well. It looks like it's going to last a long time in its appearance and it looks well-assembled and seems to be very sturdy as the steel rods that form its basic structure are 6mm / 1/4 in. thick. It could hold much more weight than a razor and brush. So I'm really happy with it. Excellent purchase!!!I am including some photos of my set up and the stand and I'm providing dimensions for all of it for reference:Shaving Stand:Overall Height: 107.6mm / 4 1/4 in.Base Width: 73.4mm / 2 7/8 in.Brush Holder Diameter: 35.5mm / 1 3/8 in.Razor Holder Top to Bottom: 72.3mm / 2 7/8 in.Razor Holder Upper Ring Diameter: 20.9mm / 13/16 in.Razor Holder Base Diameter: 15.2mm / 9/16 in.Shaving Brush:Total Height: 101.4mm / 4 in.Knot: 22.6mm / 7/8 in.Handle Height: 49.1mm / 1 15/16 in.Brush Loft: 52.3mm / 2 1/16 in.Brush Width: 47mm / 1 13/16 in.Widest Part of Handle: 36.2mm / 1 7/16 in.DE Razor:Overall Length: 102.6mm / 4 in.Handle Length: 95.6mm / 3 3/4 in.Handle Diameter: 11.3mm / 7/16 in.Head Width: 42.6mm / 1 11/16 in.Base Diameter: 16.1mm / 5/8 in.

It all works as it should
First, this is a nice looking, simple stand. The construction is solid. I am watching for rust, but no sign so far.The brush holder just allows my Caisson brush to squirm through the opening but holds the brush well.My DE razor is the beefy Rockwell T2, which is the largest, heftiness razor I’ve used. It fits this holder with no sweat. Overall, stable; fits my brush and razor, no rust and looks excellent. I’m totally happy with this product.

Attractive and Durable
This has held my razor and brush for years now and continues to function well and look pretty good. I like the dark metal coloring, which stays despite constant exposure to water, as one would hope. I will say that the bottom of the razor stand - the small circle for the base of the razor handle - has rusted over time. I am sure part of that could have been avoided with some more maintenance on my end, but that and some other water stains on it hurt the appearance over time. It also has some funky balance issues, but my surface is not perfectly flat and may contribute. Occasionally, if only the brush is in the stand, it will tip over. It is a small thing but unusual - something one would thing would have been accounted for. Other than those two small things, it is a fantastic stand.

make sure razor will fit
Looks very nice, classy. Very good quality. Good price. It was my first time buying anything like this and I didn’t realize not all razors fit in this holder. Brush fits great but since nothing else fits on it, it falls over. Brush holder is slightly bendable for better fit but not razor holder. It would be better-used if bought with a set specifically designed for it.

works and looks good
I'm using this with a Sigma safety razor and the gunmetal finish matches perfectly. Also using with Omega Pure Bristle Shaving Brush 10098... but I had to "bend" the brush holder apart a little to get the fit that I wanted. I should mention, that bending the prongs was harder than it sounds but I eventually managed to make it a small fraction of an inch different. This thing is very sturdy. Really like it. Simple design. Sturdy. Stable. Looks good. Fit for purpose. I was thinking about making one... but for this price... not worth the effort and mine wouldn't have worked any better or looked any better.

Nice razor and brush stand
Bought this specifically for the razor stand as no chance of the razor falling out and can accomodate a wide range of razors, the brush holder works well too. Sturdy but lightweight black chrome has nice finish and welds, will see how it holds up for rust.
