My 8 year old grandson loves these books

My son loved this book and read it again when he was done.

I bought 4 of these books for for my dyslexic daughter for Christmas,, She didn't even try to read before. After being introduced to these books she wants every single one

Lovely, heartfelt book. My young reader and I both enjoyed this book at every turn of the page it was like we both were on the adventure with Ellie.

This was the second book by this author that I read along with my 8 year old granddaughter. My life got hectic, so she finished weeks ahead of me. I don't like that to happen, because there are some sensitive parts that could be hard for an 8yr old to process when reading alone. There is nothing inappropriate covered, and all of his books are highly informative for young dog lovers. She has already picked out our next read!

My 6 year old son loves these books. Ellie's Story in particular has some scenes/themes of death which may be alarming but Bruce Cameron does a great job of writing about these themes in a non-threatening way. Personally, it opened some great dialogue with my son.

I love dogs and this is an awesome story about a German Shepherd who is a search and rescue dog! I downloaded another book by this same author!

As yet I have not been disappointed in any books from this author. Virtually all of the "Dog's Purpose" group so far, have brought me to tears. That isn't exactly a bad thing but it does tend to slow down the reading. That said, I would not trade one second of my reading time for ANY other activity. BTW, I recommend these books to everyone, even people I don't know.

The entire Puppy Tale series is wonderful for kids!My dog-crazy 8/9-year-old son has been voraciously reading the whole series and has trouble putting the book away at bedtime.He says that they are heartwarming but can be sad at times (not tooo sad though, just temporarily sad! lol Enough to add suspense and get him connected to the characters).If you've seen the Dog's Purpose/Journey movies these books connect to the films. My son has loved realizing the connections between the books and the movies.I can't recommend these books enough for young readers! They're especially nice because although written in clear, easy-to-understand language they are also intelligent and sophisticated -- they don't feel like "kids books" which is great for young readers who don't want "baby books".Start with any in the series and you'll be hooked! :)

Absolutely loved the book. I believer that it may be a book written for children, but, as a Senior, I found that I couldn't put it down until I had read the whole book. Would recommend it to dog lovers of all ages.
