We started with one and now we have almost 20! I recommend these to therapists, and any other families I meet with kids under 13. Our therapists have loved these books for our 7 year old. We've dealt with changing custody, doctors, therapists, schools, school bullies, lying, pet death and more, but no matter what we seem to always be able to find one that talks about any situation life throws at us. Our 20 year old fur baby passed and we had this book in 48 hours. This book was comforting not only to kiddo, but us too.Mr. Herman is a blessing in our household, and I hope he continues to write more fabulous children's books

Does a great job talking about feelings in an age appropriate setting. 2 year old lost his little brother and is at an age where it didn’t make sense. This helped us with explaining to him what was going on and why everyone was sad. Made me emotional reading it to him.

Ordered this book as my two children and I have been grieving the loss of their father for over a year now. Didn’t expect it to make me cry. It’s fun for the kids and very thoughtfully written! I loved that it included heaven and how it could bring me to tears but also feel comforted by the end of the story. Great book and very happy I ordered it for my kids! They went to sleep good tonight after reading this story to them!

This is a wonderful book for kids dealing with the loss of a loved one or friend. It goes through he stages of grief with a child's understanding. Sad to say we have had to read this multiple times over the past few years, but it has always made my son feel better and know he is not alone in his feelings. I send this book to my employees with small children when there is a loss in the family.

This book was very helpful in explaining the death of an animal recently to my grandchildren.

This is a beautiful way to help young children process loss and grief. Our 6 and 3 year old really benefitted from reading this book. The dragon character was easy for them to relate to. Thank you for providing a great resource for grieving children.
