I need to keep the sun off my face in the summer because I am very light complected. Most sun hats cover a portion of your face but not all of it. The brim on this hat is so wide the sun doesn't touch you face or the back of your neck no matter what angle the sun it at. It is lightweight and comfortable. Gust of wind will lift the hat off your head so use the draw string on windy days. I wish the draw string clasp was a little more durable, but overall a great hat

Bought this hat for my husband for his daily walks around the yard track and when gardening. He’s not looking to win a fashion show with it, but he’s fair skinned with sun sensitivities and a bald head, that makes this the perfect solution for the yard so he won’t ruin one of his good hats. The large brim does a good job shading both his face and neck from the sun and glare. It gets worn daily and considered decent quality than what he had anticipated. It’s a good fit and comfortable to wear. It’s been great for sun protection and the strap has come in handy especially in high winds. The hat has also held up well under a couple of light rains. The original crease from shipping took a bit of work & time to straighten out, but otherwise he has no complaints. It hasn’t been washed yet, so can’t comment on it. It’s easy to pack and store. For the price point and coverage, this was a good purchase. -P.S. He also likes the color!

It hasn’t rained since this hat arrived and I’ve been too lay and unadventurous to try it in the shower.So I can’t yet comment on how well this hat does in the rain.But I can say it’s what I was hoping for.I have a disability that compels me to use a rollator (fancy walker) when I am out and about.Controlling a walker and an umbrella simultaneously hasn’t worked for me. I need both hands on the walker for optimal stability. Steering a walker while the Chicago winds are filling your umbrella and turning it into a sail is, frankly, dangerous. Likewise, trying to hold an umbrella up high enough to see what and, more importantly, who is around you is difficult.So I am hoping this hat with its broad brim will deflect much of the rain allowing me to retain a shred of dignity when I walk in the rain.Yes, they make mechanical contrivances to mount umbrellas on wheelchairs, mobile chairs and maybe walkers. But they are too big and cumbersome to leave on a rollator all the time and take considerable time to install and uninstall.The hat itself is nice and cushy. It fits well and, of greatest importance, folds into a very compact package.I think it will wear moderately well and last at least two or three years.As of now, it has what I presume will be a permanent place in my rollator bag and I feel prepared to deal with rain.Jerry

Obviously arrived folded...being a round hat it was folded in quarters to make the product smaller for shipping.It was wrapped in clear plastic packaging shrink type wrap with the shipping label attached. No secondary packaging.The material was thicker and heavier than expected. Not flimsy at all. So there were some creases. Needed to lay flat for a bit.There is still some memory left (from being folded up) in the material...so when wearing the hat it feels like it droops to one side (dependent on how the hate is worn. I could turn the hat to more to the side. But the neck strap is now in your face and back of the head, and not to the sides of your head as intended.The wide brim kept me cool, the sun off my neck and face and out of my eyes. Overall, this was a great purchase. I like it A LOT! Also really like the color.

Fast delivery! You don't know how hot you are getting until you hose yourself & this hat down. You can fold it in 4 & get the creases out while staying wet, cool, & shady. If it's not that hot & humid & there's a breeze you'll get downright chilly & well protected from cancer causing ultra-violent ultra-violet waves pouring down unabated from the white hot sun. You can help those less well attired reach the shelter of shade or AC. This is the hat of HEROES!

This may work if there is no wind but it’s too sloppy. It’s also not unisex because it’s obviously made for a big head. It doesn’t get snug enough to fit properly and it slides over my eyes . I’ll be returning .

Most of the Sun hats you'll find only have a 3" brim ... It wasn't enough for me. I go fishing and want to actually keep the sun off my Neck, ears, mouth/jaw line. This hat having a 6" brim really makes a difference.+ Is you can adjust the tightness around your head with a cord+ Is you also have a cord to go around your Chin...helps keep you hat on when too windy or under Boat power. But only to a degree.Couple things though...- If under High speed, I had to just look down to keep it from coming off or you can Let it flop backwards and it'll look like a Shield resting on your back. Put it back after the Run- It had fold creases when 1st unpacked but I just set mine down Inside out and the folds went away for a few days. Now it's pretty straight and useful.I fish saltwater mostly and this keeps the sun off. but like alll my equipment....just have to take care of it.
