These lights create a lovely ambiance on my back porch. For more thank five years and are still going.

These lights are well-made, you can tell immediately when taking them out of the box. Here are some of my favorite features:- Each LED bulb is individually encased in a soft, perfectly clear, gel-like substance, meaning they're extremely well protected from moisture- Each bulb can be changed out individually- The entire string does NOT go out when one bulb is out - BIG plus!- Each light has its own hole to help attach it wherever- The solar panel is large and seems to be of a much better quality than most- They used an 18650 battery, which is also what powers Tesla battery packs! ;] But seriously, these are good cells (haven't checked out what make yet), and are what helps power these lights for so long- The solar panel and battery unit is connected to the string via a sturdy connector that screws together (this thing isn't coming apart!) and is indexed so it's impossible to plug in the wrong way- They supply everything necessary to attach the solar panels to whatever you need, in at least 4 different ways- Attention to detail goes so far that they supply an extra screw for each method of attaching the lights, in case you lose one - nice touch, guys!- Lights are a very pleasant warm white, very much like candle lightThey are not super-bright, but frankly this doesn't bother me one bit. They're a nice accent without being overpowering. You'd not gonna read by these lights, but that's OK by me. I debated if I should even take off a star for this, but thought some might like to have a brighter option. But honestly, for solar lights, I'm not sure what you could do without having a super-short runtime. Speaking of runtime, they do appear to be the advertised 6 hours or so. Haven't measured it yet but based on performance so far I'd believe it.One thing to be aware of when you first get them and want to test them - as they say in the packaging, they do come with a little bit of a charge, however in order to get them to turn on, you must not only switch them on, but ALSO cover the solar panel so they think it's dark and turn on. When you do, don't be disconcerted if they take a LONG time to turn on! Like about2 minutes or so! This is of course not an issue at all when it slowly gets dark at night, but it can be confusing when you're doing your first test. Be patient! ;]All around I have to say these are amazing lights!

The media could not be loaded. It was my first time trying solar lights. They do give the ambiance I was looking for, but I wish they were a little brighter for nights when we want to eat outside. I think I bought the Warm White. One thing I noticed upon unboxing, was that quite a few of the bulbs were dented. I don’t think you can really tell in the video, and they work... so i didn’t bother returning. You will notice I have a green cloth over the solar panel while the tiki torches are lit. Any light source near the solar panel will cause the string lights to shut off. So you may want to consider the placement of the panel if you have other light sources in the area. Or just cover it like i did, and put it where it’s most functional. Overall, I am happy with the lights.

The quality of this kit is noticeably better than most. You can tell the quality right away from the following:- the solar panel is big and sturdy- the kit provides 3 ways to mount the solar panel and the instructions are well written in clear English- the clip mount option is very sturdy in tension, materials, and the width of the clip opening- each light has a small hole where you can hang them to a hookMy only complaint is that the description says these are 27 ft long, which is technically correct, but the length from the first bulb to the last bulb is only 18 feet. For some reason there is almost 3 feet of extra cord that extends past the last light (?).Tip: the instructions tell you to test the lights when you open them by turning the switch to ON and covering the solar panel (so that it thinks it's dark). The lights will not turn on instantly! I was worried that my lights were not working because they didn't turn on immediately when I covered the solar panel. You have to wait 1-2 minutes while the panel is covered before the lights will turn on.My only request is that they offer these in white.

I previously ordered the larger, elongated version for one deck and they're PERFECT for that deck. I bought this particular set for my smaller deck that is a different design than the larger deck. They are absolutely PERFECT! The hangers will be delivered tomorrow, so that's when I'll actually mount them. I'll attach a photo if it is possible tomorrow after a review is posted. Both sets are a bit higher in price, but they are of excellent quality. Watch for end-of-season sales.

I bought a set in spring of 2020. Set them up and turned them on; left them on at all times. They just died this week. I figured I'd get one summer out of them. These light surpassed all my expectations. Buying another set now.

I read a ton of product reviews on these and similar items before purchasing. One of the key things I found helpful was to make sure that all the bulbs are tight in the socket before installing. I would think this is intuitive to ensuring the product is waterproof, but many people were complaining about water getting in the bulbs. I tightened each one before installing as they don’t come fully tightened when delivered (which I wouldn’t expect). They have been through several rain storms and are working just fine.The product is great. They charge during the day with sunlight only, and if you have the switch on, the lights will automatically come on when it gets dark. They seem to stay on for 4-7 hours (not exact because I’m generally asleep by the time they run out of juice). The only downside I would mention is that they are not super bright, which is fine for our purposes but may not be great depending on what you’re doing with them. We have them on a balcony off of our apartment and they are perfect.
