Love these knives!
I’m so glad I was able to find them here on Amazon. My first Chicago cutlery purchase was from Walmart a few years back, two knives I used when I was in culinary school. Love that I actually found a set. They’re very sharp and of great quality! If you’re debating between these set of knives and another I say purchase these you’ll love them too!

The Best Knives I've Owned
Love these Chicago Cutlery knives! They're constructed well, sharp, and weighted perfectly. Lost my bigger set in a divorce, so this one replaces it. I actually really like the grey block, but the listing doesn't specify the color. There's no sharpener in the block, but I'll adapt!

Excellent cutlery
Perfect small knife block. The Steak knives are super sharp! No lie. The shears are particularly nice. Very good bread, knife as well.I wish I had bought the big knife, Block, because the knives are that nice. Makes me proud to be from Chicago!

Cut, feel, & look nice.
Very happy with set as a whole, but steak knives are much lighter than you would expect. They are not serrated though, which is great because I prefer a non-serrated edge. All other knives are properly heavy and balanced well. My favorite, surprisingly, is the paring knife that actually is heavier than the larger steak knives!Overall a great set at this price point that I would recommend.

Solid Knife Set
I previously had the 2005 version of this knife set. I work in restaurants, and I cook a lot, so I know what makes for a good knife.Cons:The block is kind of ugly, its a failed attempt at that grey, distressed wood that is trendy right now.The bevel is very small, which explains people's comments on the knives dulling quickly, but they are quality steel, so a few minutes with a whet stone or a professional sharpening will correct this, and they will last you years, so its well worth it.There is no honing steel. The steak knives don't have the serated tip that previous versions had.Pros:High carbon, stainless steel. So they take an edge, and hold it.They arrived razor sharp, although professional sharpening may be needed down the line. The Chef's, Santoku, and bread knife are almost perfected weighted. The handles feel great in my wide mit of a hand.Although I wrote more about the cons, I still say this is a solid knife set, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a full, home knife set.

Very sharp and comfortable on the hands.
Worth the money. These knives came very sharp and are comfortable on the hands. They are made to last. I would purchase them again.
