Annabelle's Rocky Road Bars, 1.8-Ounce Bars (Pack of 24)

Rocky Road Candy Bars are mine and my Mom’s favorite candy bar since I was a child. It seems they were only available on the West coast. I have never met anyone on the East coast that have been aware of them from back in the day. They are great!!

First of all, this is one of the greatest candy bars if you like marshmallow and cashews

These are what I remember- a great candy bar. Arrived ok the box a bit crushed - but very thin cardboard - the box was wrapped clear plastic, candy is fine not melted. Watch your weather / time of year / they could get hot/ melted. They are nice thin chocolate covered marshmallow candy bar with very tinny bits of nuts . If you like dark chocolate they make one that way and they are also great , they also make one in mint - they also are very good but hard to fine.

I found these inedible!!!! They smell & taste AWFUL! The chocolate does not taste at all like milk chocolate; it has a weird taste; something between milk & dark chocolate, but stale-tasting or very cheap quality chocolate; definitely not anything like the Annabelle's Rocky Road bars that I recall from years ago!The package arrived damaged (smashed). It was not in a carton; just a very flimsy box that the bars are packaged in,inside a plastic shipping bag wrapped around the flimsy box, so not protected from damage. I opened two bars, and they were all smashed; chocolate was cracked. It did not look fresh. I took a few bites, but I knew after the first bite how awful tasting it was, but I wanted to make sure; I threw the rest of the bar in the garbage, then called Amazon for a refund. It took me over an hour of being transferred to various reps to finally get a refund, only after I called back a second time, after I was denied a refund! I do not recommend these at all.

I first heard about Rocky Road Bars watching a TV show (How It's Made?). The process was really labor intensive and it appeared to be made of high quality ingredients (any candy with marshmallow is a winner in my book). Well, let me tell you, this is what I consider the perfect candy bar! Chewy, but not tough. Taste was so good it was surprising-- extremely fresh--just like it was made 5 minutes ago. And one of the best parts I found from the TV show is the company is family owned and it's American made.Addendum--Even better refrigerated or frozen to customize chewiness!

Had been having a craving for these and you just don't see them in the candy displays.
