AMI PARTS 3363394 Washing Machine Pump Appliance Replacement Parts Exact Fit Whirlpool Kenmore Washer

I do appliance repair for many properties. A resident had a washer that would not drain. After removing the front of the machine I discovered the drain pump was not turning. After using a shop vac to extract the water in the drum. I removed the two hoses and two clips on the motor that were holding the pump. Once removed I discovered a sock had been jammed in the impeller and would not come out. Put the new pump in, reattached the hoses and mounting clips. The machine runs and drains like new. Great product, price and well made !

It fit my washer perfect (Whirlpool Quiet Care II), and works perfect. Sadly, it didn't fit the problem with my washer.

Surprisingly I was able to fix my washing machine myself! So in that sense, it was totally worth it to buy this part. It saved me a couple hundred dollars and only took about 30 min. I recommend looking up a YouTube video on your specific brand of washer. The main thing that will be different across brand is opening up the washer. But the way this piece connects is the same (pull the hoses off the old ones and clamp them on to the new one). I was nervous at first too. Just go for it!Ok so now on the quality of this specific brand of pump. It looked exactly the same shape/size and everything, but it does appear that it is made of a lighter weight plastic than the original. I wonder if that will make it less sturdy in the long run. However, the good outweighs the bad overall. My washing machine worked instantly after installing this part, and has lasted several loads so far. If it leaks later on, that would be a bummer, but still worth it to me for the peace of mind that I now know how to fix it.Overall, my advice is don't overthink it. Try fixing it yourself no matter which brand you buy on Amazon.

The other day I got home and the wash room smelled like burnt popcorn. After sniffing around we deduced that it was coming from the washer. A bunch of research and testing hoses and such later, we guessed our water pump motor was likely the culprit. The OEM part was going to cost $50 plus $15 for two day shipping, so I immediately checked Amazon for a cheaper option. I was very suspicious since this was less than a quarter the price, but it would get here the next day and of course free prime shipping. I figured I could return it if it looked cheap or like it wasn’t going to work out.When it arrived and I got the old one out, I could immediately tell it was the exact same part with the same type of plastic. Of all the things to have to replace on a washer this is one of the cheapest and easiest to install, so when I got it in and hooked up, I was glad the burning smell was gone after the test load.No idea yet on longevity of this product yet since it’s only been in a day, but so far after a few loads it seems to have fixed the problem. I’m very glad this was the issue and not the motor or transmission. If I had to do it again with the knowledge I have now, I would have just ordered this straight off the bat and had it a day sooner instead of testing a bunch of stuff first.
