I can not speak for other models of computers for which this battery is claimed to work, but for an Asus model X54C this battery is NOT an exact replacement. It does, however, power the computer, and does charge properly, so it does "work", but there are notable differences with this battery vs the original Asus battery. I purchased 2 of these as backup batteries for customers who were worried about the remaining life expectancy of their original battery. I have tested both batteries in a total of three Asus X54C computers. Here is what I discovered:The LED indicator for WLAN does not work with the new batteries (replace old one, it works again).Battery status LED goes off (should be green or orange, depending on amount of charge remaining).Battery "smart" charge/discharge does not work with either of the new batteries (works with all original ones).System color scheme changes (very strange symptom!). It can be reset to desired scheme, but when swapping back to the original battery, the color scheme does not change, ever. When swapping in either of the new batteries (fully charged), the color scheme changes to Windows' default. Had I not seen that with my own eyes, I would not believe it!Conclusion: These batteries are ok as a backup battery, they DO power the computer; but I would not recommend them as a replacement for the original battery.
