Works perfectly!
The 5.4 Lb chicken I roasted was perfect, crispy skin, moist and juicy breast meat. There was plenty of drippings for gravy. This is the only way I'll roast a chicken from now on.I like that it is lighter in weight than ceramic or cast-iron versions and clean up was so easy.A wonderful addition to my kitchen.Good rule of thumb...Preheat oven to 350 F, roast 20 to 24 minutes per pound depending on size of chicken.

Extraordinary product
I absolutely love this item! I didn't realize that it would help to cook my chicken from the inside as well as position it to cook well from the outside. My chicken came out tender and juicy. The product is light weight, yet sturdy. Very easy to clean and use. Seems to reduce splatter in the oven as well. I recommend it highly.

Dang good chicken: Review + Recipe
I've been using vertical roasters for probably 20 years. My oldest one, also pictured, has been looking pretty loved and sometimes I want to roast two chickens at a time. As such, I've been on the search for its equal for 3 years and have given up on two -- a coated wire one where the coating started flaking off into my chicken and chrome beer can style that was simply too wide for chicken. I think this is it. Though I like all the others for storage simplicity, a main problem with them is finding a right-sized pan to set them in. A second problem is carrying chicken in from my outdoor grill. (Think chicken balancing on a stand in a pan of hot drippings while you open doors and carry it up a stairs.)This one works great. In my first try, It held the chicken and captured the grease fine. It came out of my dishwasher clean. I hope it holds up and will probably buy another if I break it. What can I say.Recipe:Start with a good rub. Szeged is my all time favorite all-around rub. Walkerswood is my favorite jerk rub.If you're marinating, mix a couple tablespoons of rub and a teaspoon of salt with enough apple cider vinegar to make a nice paste. Spread over chicken and let it sit in a mixing bowl. If you're not marinating, use olive or other oil in place of vinegar (it'll stick better) and rub it all over the chicken. Put chicken on roaster and roast at 350F until the internal temperature reaches 165F (about an hour. Remove from oven, cover with foil or a big pot for 10 minutes. Enjoy. If you have a smoker/oven (e.g., Traeger), set to smoke for a couple hours to create the smoke flavor and then turn the oven up and finish roasting at 350 to give it that sealed-in juiciness.

My new favorite way of cooking chicken
I’ve used this a couple of times now for cooking a chicken and it’s worked out great. I like this much better than other roasters I’ve used in the past. The chicken comes out juicy and tender but not falling apart.

Amazing
Cooks my chickens evenly, cleans up like a breeze, and I love that it’s glass so it’s not leaching non-stick chemicals into my food! Win win win

unnecessary dish, no better than regular roast chicken
It was good quality, except kind of funny-looking. My vertical rotisserie chicken came out okay, but I have tasted juicier horizontal roast chicken, so I returned the vertical roaster.
