Mundial 10 inch Industrial Forged Heavy Duty Bent Trimmers - Sharp Blades, Ergonomic Black Handle, Polished Nickel-Plated Finish Cutting and Sewing

I bought these because I wanted a no-nonsense pair of heavy-duty scissors for my shop, and I wanted to be able to sharpen them as needed. I've grown tired of plastic handles that break, like my orange Fiskars. These Mundials are big and bulky, with long blades and huge handles. I wear 7 1/2 surgical gloves. For me the handles seem oversized. If you like to keep your index finger along the side of your scissors, and out of the lower loop, you may feel like these shears are hard to control. For heavy material where you want all four fingers in the lower loop, these offer good shearing power. They seem more at home in a shop than a classroom. I think that the Mundial 8 inch shears might be more appropriate as a set of household scissors. As for the finish, these are nice looking, professionally-made shears that have a precise feel. They make crisp, easy cuts with paper. They also work well for cutting PLA supports out of 3D printed pieces. They aren't as scary sharp out of the box as my Ginghers were, (and are) but I wouldn't run my finger down the blade casually, either; these are very sharp. (EDIT: Now that I have used them more, these are scary sharp, actually; handle sensibly.) The action feels like somebody took the time to carefully tension these before they were boxed. Nicely done.These arrived in perfect condition in a nice, padded cardboard presentation box. I am using camellia oil to protect these shears from the elements, just as I do my other steel tools.

I've always wanted a great pair of scissors (shears) since I was a kid & my parents had a very good pair -the whole family knew to always put them back in the same drawer so everyone else could find 'em - nobody wanted to use other scissors. That's how I feel about this marvelous, excellent, quality tool. They have a wonderful feel for both hand fit and heft; they're SHARP and have easily cut through everything I've used them for (being reasonable as to their proper use, of course!) Perfect, straight cuts through paper & fabric, corrugated cardboard, as well as easy cuts through that nasty hard plastic packaging that we all hate. The bent shape allows you to rest the shears on the cutting surface for greater accuracy or stability when needed for precise cuts. They look like a family heirloom. You don't find products like this much these days. I'm planning to buy a shorter pair for myself, & am considering these as a holiday gift for my siblings.

These are great scissors and worked perfectly for our intended purpose, to cut thick rug pads. They seem well made and should last forever. But be aware that they are somewhat tedious to use because they are so big and heavy, and we took frequent breaks in our trimming tasks for that reason. Moreover, they are wickedly sharp. I accidentally brushed my little finger across a blade, so lightly I didn't even feel it, and it cut like a razor.

I was very excited when I decided to buy theses . We were making masks for the hospital and my flimsy trimmers wouldn’t cut the material. I went on a mission to find some Scissors that would last. I was working on a quilt when I received them. The first time I used them on material, I was very happy with the way they sliced through the material with such ease. They are a quality product. I’m very happy with the workmanship. They cut with ease and should last me a long time.

My boyfriend uses these for his auto upholstery business and they are sharp, easy to handle and last a long time before they need to be sharpened

My husband is just naturally hard on tools of any kind, including those in the house! To give you prospective - no kidding here; he once snapped a heavy duty - tempered steel - pry bar in two! He works hard, and expects whatever tool he's using to perform to his standards.He had what he calls "A good pair of scissors" handed down to him from a family member (which he would still be using today if they hadn't been lost during a past divorce). Over the years we've gone through more than a few pairs of scissors due to his "standard" of performance. Very nice, durable, works well, easy to cut, fabulous, sharp, heavy just what you need scissors. Very easy to cut a straight line using these.

I work in upholstery and had to replace my wiss scissors, these are by far way better than the wiss I ordered I was recommended mundial by my coworker who had been in the business for over 30years. Some perks I noticed quickly is there much lighter which is useful when using them for long periods of time and they cut really clean from the tip to the end, I work mostly with leather and these held up really nicely. Definitely recommend 👍
