Excellent taste!! However, they were more expensive than I purchased at the grocery store. Great packaging

I like the smoked sausage. I've lived in SE Texas and everyone who has lived in SE Texas knows about Zummo Sausage. The only complaint that I have is with the packaging. The sausage is a perishable product and should be kept refrigerated until eaten. They ship the product with only one cold pack on one side of the meat. Additionally, they mailed the product to me in a cardboard box, which probably took three days. They should have shipped the product to me in a Styrofoam cooler lined with ice packs to ensure that the product stayed cold for several days. Lastly, they should have used an overnight or 2nd day carrier.With perishable products, one can't take any chances. The seller should have take a little more precaution to make sure that product says cold during transit.

Update: I did end up purchasing from this distribution company. My sausage was still frozen when it arrived and I was able to may my gumbo.I'm writing this review because I grew up eating Zummo Sausage. I normally drive to Texas in the summer and for Christmas but we're in a pandemic so looking for another way to restock. My stash is almost gone! LolZummo has a variety of sausages but I grew up eating the Old Fashioned and the Party Time. Party Time is perfect for gumbo. It's got just enough spice and adds a nice flavor to a roux based gumbo. I'm a country girl so a sausage and potatoes kinda gal! Any dish that requires a protein that's has a bite..Party Time is perfect. The Old Fashioned is perfect for breakfast and any dish that requires a mild sausage. I wish this distributer had this on hand. But I will take what I can get. Again, I've not purchased from this distributer yet but I know the brand well. Definitely worth your money.
