Use it for picking up trash on our lane and while doing walking trails. Great tool as far as no bending and it picks up anything and everything with ease. It is ok if I am putting it into a stationary can that I walk over to, but not so great at 40" if I want to put it into a bag I am carrying, as it is too long to comfortably do that. (must pull my shoulder waaay back with stick and lower bag at other arm's length. The shorter version would be better for that.) It does also get very soon tedious to squeeze the handle for pick-up if I try to collect, say, a wheelbarrow load of pine cones in the yard. But it is absolutely marvelous for one-items grabbing anything under the bed, behind the washer, is especially useful for reaching into a briars to get trash or a ball

My 4 year old had a desire to become a "trash man" and requested a "trash picker upper claw" for Christmas from Santa. He got this and it made his day. He went around the house picking up everything. It's easy to use (obviously, since a 4 year old can use it) and he has a blast. His dreams have been fulfilled and he now wants to be a firefighter. All is well in our world and he's no longer trying to pick up his brother with the "superior grabber" to place him in the trash can.

Not nearly able to handle the hundreds of uses I make of these daily picking up dog toys for my ever ready Border Collie. A previous all metal one still is functional and I bought two of these for replacements. Well the Superior Grabber are now in the recycling...

Does a reasonably good job but I prefer a pistol type grip over the in-line type of handle found on this grabber. Also, the pickup head does not rotate like on many other models so if you want to use it with a vertical orientation instead of a horizontal orientation for the arms, it is quite awkward. Nevertheless, the price is reasonable, it is lightweight and functional.

I have four different grabbers - each seems better at different jobs. This one is great for picking up puppy pee pads. Like the longer handle too. They all make life a lot easier and get used multiple times a day for different things.

It is a good grabber. Enables me to reach things on the high shelves without getting a stool to stand on. Just be careful that the item you are grabbing is to heavy, if it slips or you are not holding tight enough it could slip. It is just what I needed.

Got this to move items from the top shelf of my cabinets. I have a good grip, but no matter how hard I squeezed the trigger, it would not hold any item- light or heavy. The item would simply slip. I tried several times to see if it improved after i learned the best technique, but I stopped after an item slipped out and broke. The rubber has a slippery surface- like an old rubber vs a soft gripping silicone type material on the pincher. Wont use it for anything now.

I like the sturdiness and solidness of this grabber and the fact it does not fold on me like others do.This arrived with the tongs barely touching. I believe this was just a product inspection miss before it left factory rather then a regular productI am waiting on customer service to call and fix issue as I would like it replaced. Once replaced I will edit my reviewUpdate .. was called by them. Was told because I was in Canada I had to phone a specific number.. I did .. now I feel I am getting run around. Was told new one would be shipped next day. Now being ignored with no new shipment day.

I wasnt going to go through the hassle 0f shipping back a large package like this for 20 bucks, I just took the loss and thats all i could do

I don't own more than one of these. I'm sure one is enough. This one seems a bit longer than the rest so I bought it. It reaches where it needs to. And it works well.
