So after dealing with the messed up screws, me and my husband were putting it up, he dropped his end by accident and I underestimated how heavy it was and down it goes, right into my toe.. a Urgent care trip later and we got it up. Be careful. Wear steel toed boots. Do not attempt to do it yourself. It’s a two person job. My toe survived and I can sleep better knowing my disabled son can’t throw himself out a two story window anymore. If you buy it, have some 2 inch screws available, just incase. 👍🏻

Works like it should. Feels sturdy and waa very easy to install. Great extra sense of security.

Needed a safety guard for my child's 2nd floor window. This window is fairly large double hung and we only keep it partially open on days when weather permits, to take advantage of the breeze. I wanted something that I didn't have to install and remove every time I opened the window. This one did the job.

These are very heavy duty. I took a rubber mallet to open up for a good fit.

I had just been broken into by obvious children. They broke a window and climbed thru. Even though this is intended to keep children from falling out of a window, it serves nicely as fake burglar bars. I had two metal windows side by side that were vulnerable, These bars, when I got them installed, from the outside look like they would slow down someone with ill intent. They were easy to install. I had to do a minor change in the latch side. But they are openable from the inside. With venetian blinds over them they are completely unnoticeable from the inside. They were a good price compared to heavy burglar bars. I think they will make someone think twice before they break my window again. Thanks

They came with the cheapest screws I have ever had the displeasure of using! And the head broke into pieces trying to install breaking off into my wall!!! Very very frustrated!!!! Avoid the huge pain in the ass and don't use the screws it comes with!!

Could be better, could be worse.I have no complaints and I feel I got my money’s worth. I could have welded up something sturdier but it wouldn’t have looked as streamlined and my time is worth something so I got it to save myself the trouble. I use it to block off a doggie door when I don’t want them to go outside and to keep 2 legged animals from sticking their arm through to unlock the door. It works good for both of those purposes.

overall, it seems functional. but, the clevis is totally undersized in diameter, oversized in overall dimension, and secured in a way that toddlers have no trouble opening.
