Straight from the box to the street.
Literally right out of the box, it's ready to go!!! I'm going to give this 5 stars because it is not meant to be a fast scooter. It is designed for a comfortable ride on a long distance. If you are going to ride a few miles this is the one you should take.Different from the A5 -not gittery. Don't get me wrong the A5 is a great inexpensive scooter but in comparison it would be like comparing a Ford Fusion (A5) to a Chevy Traverse (7xl). You take the Chevy for those long road trips, and the ford for the quick runs to the grocery store. It's light weight if you are in good physical condition. I am 58 years old, and I have always been into biking and skating so this is perfect for my daily workout now that I'm older. I consider it a much better workout than a bike. It's portable and easy to ride. Buy a helmet and protect your head... as falls are unpredictable. And this is not a TOY it is meant for teen or adult use only. Your kids won't like this one. Because it's not designed for speed. But for you over 30 cruisers looking for a scooter that won't wear you out , you will adore this well built scooter.

DUAL SUSPENSION...drop the mic
5 1/2 starsI don't know of another push scooter that has dual suspension for this or any price. I'm surprised more reviewers don't sing the praises of this pavement taming device. My E-twow booster electric scooter has a similar suspension system but it costs A LOT more. Even the Xooter adult scooter that's considered the Cadillac of scooters doesn't have any type of suspension and it costs over $250. With sidewalk cracks, potholes, handicap dips at intersections and invisible obstacles, this feature makes the ride much smoother and has to increase the longevity of the stress points.I don't expect a smooth ride from the Razor A5 Lux I have but I only paid $60 for it new. It's sturdy but the ride can loosen your fillings. This Urban 7XL has a stealth and sleek all black look. It comes with a carry strap that they don't mention on the item description. Most other companies have a separate charge for that accessory. It has a reflective tab on the end of the back fender that I haven't seen incorporated on any other brand. Again my E-twow has a LED red brake light but it cost about 10x more. The deck is about the same size as other scooters which means your back foot can be placed sideways OR you can put half of each foot on the scooter facing forward. For some adults your big "canoes" will stick out in the breeze. It has a kickstand that makes parking easy if you don't want or need to fully collapse the scooter. ABEC-7 bearings are a nice upgraded but included feature. Amazon offers a great prime price but for some reason the non black colors cost $10 more. That works for me since black is better especially for adult males using it for commuting. If you're in the park you have to have something to differentiate yourself from the younger crowd that doesn't need another reason to mock and deride. The black and gray model was original but not worth the increase. I don't know why some of the photos show the front fender turned the wrong way. The longer part of fender goes behind the front wheel and shorter portion goes in front. To maintain the ninja look, I've put strips of black reflective tape on strategic areas of the scooter. This is a great scooter for any age or skill level.

Cute and compact scooter!
This scooter is way more high tech then I planned. It folds in half for easy carry, even comes w a strap you can use to carry it. There is a kick stand so it doesn't have to be just "thrown" on its side after each use. My husband rode it more then my kids when we first got it. It has shocks! He loved jumping it and it held his weight great! (He isn't a big dude tho, like 180). My girls love it. It's kind of big- compared to all the other brands. The actual platform for the feet is elevated off the ground higher so my 4 year old has a hard time riding it. But everyone else older loves it. It does adjust height nicely and easily. Overall it's a great scooter!

So far so bad..
First day:Oh boy where do I start, lets see. The kickstand itself is very sturdy, but the hinge part was rusting and that was the weakest point so it broke.Fine no biggie.Riding it felt very nice, the shock absorbers did a fine job, there was too much wiggle room on the one in the back though, this made the platform dip as soon as I stepped on. I fixed this by removing the cap nut on the bottom and inserting what was essentially a large washer to fill in excess space and compress the spring that way. This also meant less kicking power was to the shock absorbers.Locking mechanism: Some part that keeps the scooter folded broke and now it doesn't stay folded. I saw a small piece of plastic fall off when this happened. Why was the locking mechanism made with plastic anyway?this was all on the first day and those were small pieces too so hopefully nothing else breaks.[EDIT 5.15.17]The threaded rod that couples the spring to the wheel bacame loose and eventually came off. At this point the scooter would be useless, but I instead drilled holes on near the side where the wheel/platform hinge is and removed the suspension/spring all together. My rear wheel is fixed in place now and it works fine. I didn't like the rear suspension anyway.I tightened the locking hinge thing and it locks fine now.Design issues:Another major design flaw that I see is that the platform is too elevated so everytime you push forward, you have to sort of squat on one leg so the other leg can reach the ground. This gets tiring real fast. I'm planning on modifying the scooter with a couple electric motors...I don't remember if the scooter was this loud when I first got it, but everytime I hit a small hole or the cracks on the sidewalk, the front part that connect the wheel to the bar make a loud noise similar to a blacksmith hitting a piece of metal with his hammer. I may take it apart to see if I can remedy that issue somehow.
