Great Item at a budget price. Setup was very easy and instructions are clear. Great sound from the speakers and the calls are crystal clear on both the sending and receiving side. Purchase this item and you will not be disappointed.

Great set for multiple riders - long battery life and great range
If you read this, you are making your fair share of research of these kinds of devices. And I wanted to buy the expensive name brands, too. Do the upgraded JBL speakers sound like real headphones? I don't know. For some reason I expected the sound quality to be on par with standard headphones. Maybe other brands are better maybe they are all the same. So if you want fantastic sound quality - then either upgrade the speakers or buy a different device. For me, the focus was on communication. I want to to talk to my wife while we are riding through the mountains. We both have our own bikes. This works great! Here are the PROS:- great range and re-connect: On open roads the range is probably close to half a mile. Behind switchbacks you'll get disconnected but it auto connects after which is a huge plus- wind noise: You pretty much don't hear anything besides the voice (or very heavy breathing). We wear full face helmets - not sure how this is for open face- battery life: We had this on a 3 day trip and never charged it (we actually forgot and it worked all day long)- waterproof: We ran into some really heavy rains and these did not show any signs of damage- Price: Let's face it - if you are looking into these, you think the name brands are too expensive- connectivity to multiple devices: I had navigation on from my phone and we were able to talk at the same time. I think you are supposed to be able to share audio with any driver but I haven't figured that outCONS:- sound quality: It's totally acceptable but sounds more like a phone call than a good bluetooth connection normally sounds like.- high speeds: while you can hear everything at speeds up to 55mph - anything above (even with a full face) and you won't be able to have a conversation - even on highest volumeFor me - the PROs far outweigh the CONs but I have also never used any other intercom!

For the money can’t go wrong
I ordered these units for my father and I to use on our upcoming trip to Sturgis in August. As you have already probably seen , doesn’t come with instructions. There are plenty of installation videos on how to get it installed into your helmet. The clip was useless on my helmet so had to use the 3m sticky pad to mount. Seems to be doing great. The fx8 paired seamlessly to iPhone 13.I usually wear a half helmet but installed this in a modular helmet. At first I was super disappointed because I mounted the speakers in the factory determined speaker positions in the helmet. The sound was low and terrible! Turns out the speakers were too high and too sunken in. Speaker position is everything! Determine where the speakers need to be in relation to your ears inside your helmet first and then mount. Speakers attach via Velcro so re-mounting them was no problem. I had to purchase some additional velcro circles to build them up a bit to get closer to my ears. This was due to my helmet design but you may or may not have this issue. Once I got them positioned right, wow the sound was loud and impressive!Phone calls are surprisingly clear at 80mph + and the person on the other end can clearly hear me with little road noise! This is with my modular helmet open! I love this about the unit. After 30 days of owning it, and using it almost daily, I only have two disappointments.1- the comms function, which was my primary reason for purchasing it was sub-par. It doesn’t seem to auto connect/pair automatically to the other unit and when trying to use comm on the road the volume is not high and the mic noise cancelling doesn’t seem to work. I was hoping the talking clarity would be as good as a phone call but it just isn’t the case.2- voice command sucks - seems to only work when engine is off and it’s relatively quiet. You can double tap the “-“ button and trigger Siri voice activated commands but I would rather just say “ Hey, Siri” and it work…3- there is a rubber plug type cover that goes into the charging port that covers it and keeps it protected from the elements. Mine keeps popping out and won’t stay in. I am concerned that it could ruin the unit if it gets wet ….Well that leads me to the most impressive part of this. Fodsports customer service. The company checked in after I received my order and I informed them about my charge port cover. They sent me another unit 2 day shipping!! That is amazing customer service. For its small flaws I can’t see riding without it and I haven’t gone back to my half helmet yet. Just having the music alone when out on a ride makes this totally worth it to me. Battery life has been outstanding.I would buy again and I would definitely buy it again. If comms worked as good as it should it would have been 5 stars.
