Beast of a case, but ever so slightly too small for a Sony Alpha (A9, A7, A7RIII, etc)
Picture Notes: pictures with three cases are the 1150, iM2050, 1400 from smallest to largest.Review: I bought this case ever hopeful that although the dimensions didn't look quite like they'd get the job done, maybe, just maybe, my A9 with tiny 35/2.8 lens would fit in it so I could safely place it in a backpack while skiing. Unfortunately no way no how. The top of the A9 is at a height even squishing won't overcome. It's also just slightly too tight to take the lens off and place them side by side while still having adequate padding. The case is strong as heck though, so if you're comfortable with just relying on the case's own impact resistance without adding in the foam, you can successfully get an A9 and 35/2.8 side by side, and they'd still be protected in the two other dimensions once you pick and pluck the foam.I ended up going with the iM2050 for this project instead. It's larger than I wanted, but unfortunately Pelican has no case in between the 1150 and iM2050 that is simply a taller version of the 1150, which is what would have been ideal.Pelican, if you're reading this, please make me an 1155 that adds about an inch to the height and does not change width/depth. :-)

great smaller case with no gripes
Great case as usual.Pelican has a great reputation as far as I'm concerned on this one. It is true that when you go down to the smaller sizes it becomes less economical to own one of these but given the use for this case. Bought for a media player and hard drives full of media I can't afford to lose and its really great to have. Doesn't take up alot if space and everything fits nice and snug as it should.Great job pelican!!!

If I were "the Dude"... this would be my rug.
This is hands down the best case I've ever owned. The build quality is amazing. The pick and pluck foam system is outstanding for customizing your storage space and is easy to work with, (I have a Fujifilm X-30 and accessories in mine). Simply lay out your item(s) in the case and loosen the borders of the foam section you need to remove. Once you have an entire section laid out, carefully remove the foam in one large piece going all the way to the bottom, solid layer of foam. You can then determine how deep the cavity needs to be. In most cases this will mean replacing a certain thickness of the foam you have just removed. You can do this by laying the section removed on it's side and slowly cutting through the foam, (without compressing it). I used a bread knife for this and it worked perfectly. To get a nice even cut simply let the knife do the work and remember not to press down hard enough to compress the foam as I mentioned earlier. When a friend of mine saw me getting my camera out to photograph my grandson's ball game the other day, he actually thought the case came with the camera. It really does look and feel like it's part of a professional, packaged set. For me, it completes and protects my investment.

None Better
Pelican standard series cases are the best on the consumer market. A bit pricy but worth every penny. Tough as nails. Highly recommended.

Good small case
I would like to give this little case 5/5 stars, however I cannot. The holes for the lock are REALLY small - much smaller than any standard lock. As a matter of fact, the holes are so small that I am using luggage locks - the ones that are rated 1 or less for security. I have other much larger Pelicans and I really like their products, this is a good addition to my collection.

Great case good price
These case it's build like a tank super rugged and tough. The foam insert makes it easy to adjust it for your equipment size and fit. It's really easy to carry around and looks phenomenal.

Slightly smaller than anticipated, but not a problem.
The case is slightly smaller internally than the measurements suggest. I bought this case because it was listed as being within the limits of my camera's specs to be able to fit both camera and lens connected, this turned out to not be the case (no pun intended). I was forced to separate the camera and lens, and it made for a slightly time consuming way to take photos while on my recent river trip. Because of this, I didn't take nearly as many photos as I would have liked, and it made me question why I even brought the camera along in the first place. The case did exactly what it was supposed to do though, so for that reason I cannot complain, and the only reason for the 4 star instead of the 5 was because of the internal measurements being slightly off. This does fit my Olympus OM-D E-M5, two additional batteries, and a 25mm Panasonic lens...and it kept everything safe and dry as planned.
