Awesome for travel, but can tip
I absolutely love this porta crib! It has made it through two flights across country and another two week vacation. Part of it did come apart and I had to rip open some of the fabric to finagle it back into place. Its fixed, but now im left with the ripped fabric. My son is 21 months and he is very strong, so there have been a few times he was upset about having to go to bed and he must have tipped it over and some how got out (I'm not exactly sure how that happened because I was in the other room). He definitely likes it better than his Pack and play though. He seems to sleep much better in it. He can't pull up the mattress on this one so that's nice too. Even considering the part that came apart and the fact that it can tip over and my son has gotten out, I still really like it. Maybe just make sure your child sleeps in the same room as you when you travel with this so you can keep an eye on them.

Great but a bit bigger than others
This is by far the easiest playpen to fold and unfold I have ever seen! It is up or down in under 30 seconds! I love that the inside blanked is firmly attached and can be washed. This is quite sturdy and can fit a child to about 3 years (the product description states 2 years but my super tall 2 year old has a ton of room in this). The materials are high quality and I feel like it will last a long time. Unlike other travel playpens the side does not unzip for the child to crawl in by themselves, you have to lift them in the top. The reason this gets 4 stars is that it is pretty heavy and big for a travel playpen. I can put it on my back but it is awkward. It is however easier to use than any playpen (travel or otherwise) I have seen. It would be perfect as an everywhere playpen, great for at home, on the go or travel. Just not as compact as some.

Large but lightweight
I have been using this as a playpen in my tiny NYC apartment for my (now) 9 month old. It is very easy to set up, as it just pops open like a tent. It has a fairly large play area that does not seem cramped with a bunch of toys inside. I have found it to be quite frustrating to put back in its carry case. I have to straddle the folded up unit to keep it from popping open again while I tug the zipper on the case with the other hand to get it around the whole thing. Once inside the case, it is pretty flat and lightweight and easy to store behind a couch or under the bed. The size of the carry case is very large, and though lightweight, would be very cumbersome to carry on a plane- it would definitely need to be checked as an oversized bag. I still intend to use this as a portable crib/playpen when traveling.

Beware of Possible Oversized Baggage Fees for Flight Travel
I love this portable crib! it's so light and easy to put together. However, I wish this product wasn't so expensive to fly with. I purchased the JourneyBee crib to take on the plane but unfortunately I found out that it is considered oversized by our airline (Frontier) exceeding 62" linear inches. Also, that 62" linear inches is the standard with many airlines such as Delta, Southwest Airlines, United and more. Now for my airline they are charging us $75 for oversized items, totaling $150 just to take the crib with us on the plane round trip! I'm personally not willing to pay those fees and will sadly have to return this crib (I wish I thought of it and figured this out before I ordered it, the dimensions are listed, that was my fault for not checking). Hopefully, ParentLab will create a sizable version that can fly without having to pay those excessive oversized baggage fees. But that may not be the case for you. Check your airline website for the oversized restrictions.

Fantastic alternative to classic portable cribs!
This portable crib has been one of my greatest purchases I have made as a new mom! I was gifted a classic pack and play for my baby shower, however I decided to purchase this Journeybee for myself. I thought I might be more likely to use it as it seemed so simple and easy as compared to a full size portable crib. I was right. When folded, this portable crib is somewhat large yet slim! It easily slides in the trunk of my car or behind my couch for storage. It is also incredibly light. Carrying the Journeybee, my diaper bag, and my 15 lb baby all at the same time is totally doable. As far as the set up and break down; it couldn't be easier! Think: pop-up tent. When you take it out of the carry bag, there is a Velcro strap that keeps the crib together. When you undo the strap, the crib virtually sets itself up. The only thing the user must do is unfold the mattress (the mattress is folded in half. It is a hard backed, soft mattress that is made of a nylon type of material) and tuck it into a Velcro pocket on the bottom of the crib. The mattress does not go in the crib, thus the reason for the Journeybee specific sheet that velcros to the inside of the crib itself. The Journeybee is comparable in size to a traditional portable crib. It is a great, lightweight alternative to the bulky, heavy portable cribs of yesteryear. My son naps comfortably in his Journeybee, as well as enjoys playtime when mommy has to step out of the room for a minute.Overall: Great product! I tell my mommy friends it is a must have!

Great product, would love to see more, but out of business??
This is such a great, lightweight travel bed. The only issue I have with it design-wise is that it takes up a lot more floor space than the actual crib area. I guess this is for stability, but being 5'4", I had to stretch a bit to pick up my baby. My feet can really only get up to the border which is a good 8" away from the actual crib itself. Also- what's the deal with the company?! I tried going to their website to register for safety alerts and there is no site at the parentlab.com address. The phone number only gives a busy signal too. Are they out of business? I see ours was manufactured in 2012 and all the reviews and press I could find online is from 2012 as well. It's a great product so it would be a shame if they were out of business.
