Works, heavy duty punch
Nice heavy duty punch. works for my application in thin metal. easy to clamp in a vice to make it easier to use. nice set of dies for a good range. seems to be well built, will know more after I use it for a class with multiple punches required.

Great tool.
I use this for making metal gaskets for engines and exhaust parts when the pre made gasket is not available. It works well on thin sheet metal. I haven't pushed it with the thickness. The product works great. For the price you can't beat it.Also a plus , I was missing one of the dies for the punch and the seller did a good job on getting me the missing part. I'm completely satisfied with not just the product but the Excellent customer service on behalf of the seller. Highly recommend this seller and product to anyone in need

Junk! Cheap casting with no proper tolerance for fitment or alignment. DO NOT BUY
The upper hole dies could not be mounted onto the upper arbor. The machine hole was only a casted hole that was not circular. Die would only set 1/2 mm. Alignment not possible, Use not possible. Die quality was crap! Dies had rough surfaces, impossible to read size lettering, and threading on female lower dies was poor quality. Requested return thirty (30) minutes after opening box and testing that all dies would not fit. I trusted that Eastwood would have better QA, but it's just cheap Chinese product.

Good news, bad news
My business involves a lot of chassis punching. There's a smaller design out there that works, but frustrates me at times. This has considerably more reach, which is good. It is also stronger, which is wonderful -- holes that are hard to punch with the others, this one does them with ease. Another plus, the punch parts themselves are held in place with Allen set screws, so they don't "creep" or slowly unscrew with use. Now the bad news: installing these bits can be a pain, at least for the first time you try each one. You have to chase the threads with the supplied tool, and I bent my tool trying to screw the pieces in place. Then when you punch the holes, it leaves a fair amount of flashing behind that I have to file or countersink away. The holes are not clean. So it definitely has a place in my toolbox, but it doesn't replace the others.

Will not do 16 gage stainless.
I used it on a bunch of 16 gage galvanized and then a sheet of 16 gage stainless, it bent and is now trash. Just an fyi for anyone looking to use it on stainless.

Misaligned Tooling and Sub-Par Paint Quality
Recently broke a punch on a 20 year old Harbor Freight hand punch set so figured it was time to replace it after 2 decades in a sheet metal test lab. This set landed right in the middle price-wise of a USA made set on McMaster Carr and the cheaper $40 sets on Amazon. Opening up the Eastwood punch I was dismayed to see poor paint quality and bad machining quality on the dies. I really don't know how the center bore of the dies can be off so much when I have to assume they're made on a lathe, so check your supplier's headstock and tailstock alignment.I will return this set and bite the bullet on a USA made set, you get what you pay for.

Making cosplay/LARP armor
Heck!I freaking love this thing!I work with old plastic (HDPE) 55gl drums that I cut down and harvest in to 4ftx5ft sheets of 1/4 to3/8 thickness an us them to make custom lite armor mostly samurai influenced.before I had to drill each hole which was a chaotic a mess to clean up and loud. Now with the Eastwood Deep hole punch tool- I only make dots that I can easily be collected and recycled.- there is no loud noise just a small pop sound.- best of all, no cables or batteries requiredmaking my armors has become a breeze.and it has a adjustment bar allowing to set the depth of where you punch.no exaggeration, Im so happy I got this tool!
