Excellent for CD archiving when digitizing
It's a great place to store CDs after digitizing them. Each CD represents a personal fair use right to use the music. This box works perfectly to archive the originals should ever I have to establish my right to the personal use of the music. After each CD was digitized both the CD and the "liner notes" (often a bit awkward to pry from the clear plastic jewel cases) fit nicely in a 100 micron thick Maxtek Clear Transparent CPP Plastic CD/DVD Sleeve (ASIN B00S05R5QY). In turn, 200 CD & liner note packages fit comfortably in one box.The box assembles easily (no "fit tab B in slot Q" or hieroglyphic instructions needed) and seems quite robust. The only thing i could think of that detracts from this box is that the snaps on the side tend to snag on adjacent stuff when you slide the box off a shelf. I ended up putting thin cardboard between shelved boxes.Digitizing is a tedious job made a bit easier by these boxes and the good fortune to find a sleeve/envelope for the CD & liner notes that fits beautifully.

Terrific DVD Storage!
Many years ago (15 yrs+), I had purchased black boxes like these and the CD boxes from this company from Walmart for about $5 each. I was so glad I was able to find these white ones here on Amazon. They are exactly the same as the old ones except the new ones look better. They are really bright white and have a sheen that makes them look like marshmallow cream! They are very sturdy and are sure to last a very long time. I have not treated them gently at all and all of the boxes are still in excellent shape. From delivery to your shelf, these DVD boxes literally take seconds to assemble. Strong snaps lock together so quickly and easily, yet are perfectly secure. And they fold flat and fit inside the lid when not in use. They stack on top each other loaded heavy with DVDs without any problem. No flexing of the sides or denting of the lids even when putting heavy objects on them . (The box on the left is empty and the one on the right is full of DVDs and those are 10lb weights on top.)These DVD storage boxes are a great option without a huge investment.

Sturdy and Suitable - Use Them
Summary: Mine arrived in ONE day (I live near the distribution center for these); they popped together in an instant; they hold more than advertised; one out of ten that I ordered had a problem.Like many people these days we hardly ever play our CD's; we just copy them to our pc and then play the tracks from there. With networked TVs and gaming systems you can play almost anything that has been loaded onto your pc from other devices so we hardly ever need the CD anymore. That coupled with syncing the tracks to our handheld devices means we usually stick the CD in a drawer or cabinet and forget about it.I know that I can just download the tracks and not bother with CD's at all but I have had too many instances of DRM problems or corrupted or lost tracks and having the CD to reload is just a nice fail-safe thing for me. And now with Amazon creating the mp3's for us when we buy a CD it is great. The only issue is storing the CD's so that I can find the one I want or need for a restore or whatever. With these boxes I was able to catalog them and store them away neatly and in a protected manner. It is true that the CD cases stick up a bit above the edge of the box but this is clearly shown in the advertising photos so I don't fault them for that. The cover does, indeed, lie atop the CD cases and rest upon them but there is little or no chance of damage from that so I don't count that as a fault.I ordered 10 of these and found I needed only nine because I could actually get 33 CD's in jewel cases rather than the advertised 30. That worked out well because one of the boxes had one of the snaps out of place and it didn't line up with the mating part so that one box couldn't be used. I have not contacted the company yet so I don't know what the resolution might be but I got these at $4.35-ish each so it's hardly worth the bother of shipping to do a return. That one workmanship error is the reason for only 4 stars; which might be unfair having not yet given the company a chance to replace it.
