High-end item that works very well
This is a great unit. The exhaust fan works extremely well and while it isn't the quietest unit on the market, it isn't too loud. The heater is a great add-on for wintertime and the low-wattage night light is a surprisingly useful feature.I got this as a replacement for a unit that wore out after many decades of service. The design is unchanged. The screws, electrical connectors, chassis, etc. are all the same so I could swap the guts of the unit in less than 15 minutes. This one appears to be just as good as the one that finally wore out. This is an expensive exhaust fan, but given that the last one ran reliably for decades, it is well worth the money. If you're replacing an old one, this will slot right in with no issue. If you're doing a new install, it requires a lot of physical prep and wiring. If I had to install one of these from scratch, I'd probably hire a handyman to help.

Love this heater/fan/light unit!
My family loves this heater/fan/light unit. The nightlight gives off just the perfect amount of light for those nighttime visits (enough light to see but not too bright so it wakes you up completely). The nightlight is also on 24/7 so you don't have to worry about turning it on/off. The fan is powerful without making a lot of noise and has a timer function (five minutes is more than enough to clear the room of fog after a shower). The heater function is the best I've ever come across. You can choose the temperature you wish to heat your room to and it will cycle on and off to maintain that temperature. No more freezing in the bathroom shower on those chilly mornings! This is the second unit that we've purchased; the first purchase was made 10 years ago. We love the first one so much we put another one in our second bathroom as we were remodeling. One item of note: as with all bathroom fans, you must take the cover off of this unit and vacuum it out a few times a year to maintain quality. As I mentioned earlier, the fan is powerful and it pulls a lot of dust though whenever you turn it on and some of the dust sticks to the interior components (most of it blows outside). You must vacuum the dust out regularly or it will blow back into the room when you turn on the heater. The cover comes off easily and it only takes 30 seconds to vacuum all the dust out. If you maintain the unit correctly it will last for years.

Be mindful of the wiring diagrams
First, whoever wrote the instructions did not do a good job on the wiring diagram. I was able to replace my 30 year old vent with this one within 3 hours. I was able to use the old mounting brackets and it fit beautifully in. It' snot easy to install, especially if you're not electrically versed. It's nice and quiet for its size, and the heat is a blast to use! I even got to use the old vent cover to retain our old vintage look.

Great bathroom light / ventilation unit
This is our 2nd unit. Our last one gave out after 10 years (I didnt do a good job of properly maintaining it.) This 2nd unit that I received from Amazon is quiter than the original I purchased and still seems to be well made with quality components. The heater function is great for when it's cold and the extractor fan perfect for the warmer times of year. The night light is also a nice feature for those midnight bathroom visits.3 days into the new installation and it's humming along!A little pricey but worth it! You get what you pay for. 4.5 Stars

Simple replacement for older version
I have a 50 year old house. Not sure how long the old bathroom fan, identical to the Broan 9093WH, has been there. The noise level was bad. About 65dB. It was a relief to turn it off. The noise level was very bothersome. I didn't want to cut a whole new opening so I ordered the 9093WH 70 CFM 1500w fan, heater, light and nightlight unit. I removed the entire motor/heater/fan assembly from the old unit and the new assembly fit exactly into the old can in the ceiling. I plugged the wiring harness connector of the new assembly into the old connector on the can. Everything works. I don't have wiring installed for the nightlight as the old unit didn't have one. This was the easiest fan replacement I have ever done. The best part is the sound level of the new exhaust fan is only 50 dB. When searching all the options for units with heat and light, I was leaning toward other models because of the lower sone ratings. This unit is rated at 3 or 4 sones. 4 sones is about 49 dB. It is so much quieter than the old unit. Some reviews say this fan is loud. No, it is not. My old fan was loud. This one you can hear, but it doesn't assault your senses like the old one. BTW, I never write reviews. I thought I should in case you are considering this unit and are wondering about the noise level.

Made it so easy to replace an old fan/light.
Loved that it was easy to replace an old failed fan. Unusual to find ceiling fan replacements that don't require you to tear out the old unit and destroy the ceiling. Works great too.

A proven product!
And the damper doorI purchased this to replace the same product purchased 30 years ago. The previous model performed admirably for 30 years with almost no problems. Fifteen years ago I replaced the heating elemen. It seems to have a fifteen year lifespan. The exhaust fan motor was also failing, so I shopped around for a new heater element and new exhaust fan motor. The best deal I could get was $55 for the heater element and $ 70 for a non nutone replacement fan. Considering shipping cost (the new one is prime), I decided on replacing the whole thing. On examination of the new fan I found that the fan blades and the damper door are metal instead of the plastic used thirty years ago. Installation took a couple of hours. Everything is working well. Some reviewers felt it was too loud but I am happy with the noise level
