Great read for those on the search for Mary Magdalene.
This was beautifully written by the author. I was impressed by the historical information that he included with his own interpretations. This book offers so much for those that are searching for the truth. I consider this book would as a life changer....

Who really wrote the Gospel of John?
The idea that the Gospel of John is actually a record of the oral teachings of Mary Magdalene is growing in popularity. More and more people are accepting the thought that she was an important figure in the early Christian movement, and may indeed have taught along side Jesus as an equal.A visit to a cave in Provence provided Jack Angelo with the experience of sensing Mary Magdalene’s presence and opened the door to the pursuit of her wisdom teachings. A lifelong seeker on the shamanic path, he combined his intuitive encounter with scholarly research in order to better understand her role in the early history of Christianity. In this book, Angelo not only recounts his pursuit of the real Mary Magdalene, he also takes readers through the Fourth Gospel, revealing the layers of wisdom which he has found within the text. In the last part of the book, he helps readers to connect with the lessons that are found there and explore them further on their own.It is an interesting treatise on both early Christianity and the resurgence of the feminine aspects of spirituality (heart-centered wisdom). It will be an especially valuable tool for anyone interested in subtle energy and the healing modalities associated with that energy.(InannaWorks.com received a free copy of this book.)

The Apostle
This book is probably one of the best introductions to this subject matter at hand, I have only read half of this book, but would still highly recommend to anyone that has an interest in Mary Magdalene!!

It Seems More A New-Age Book Then A Historical One
Wasn't really what I thought. It is more of a new-age channeled material book that talks about energy work and shamanism. Rereading the description, possibly it should be changed a little to target a new-age audience or mention how the author wrote the book after hearing Mary speak to him in a cave? Then people who buy it won't be confused and wish they could get their money back. For those considering this book, I've only read the first few chapters but these chapters mainly consist of the author speaking about Mary speaking to him in a cave and it goes along with the belief Jesus was Mary's husband. The author disjointedly throws in that Mary calling Jesus "My Lord" meant he was her husband etc. Doesn't everyone call him Lord? And, if Jesus was really Mary's husband why is it barely spoken of? It is no big secret John the Baptist had a wife after all or Gautama Buddha. Even in the gospel of Mary, she never says she is married to Jesus and why would the disciples complain so much about the attention Jesus gave her if they were? I did like that the author wrote that when he asked Mary some of these things, Mary reported back it wasn't important.I will write for those who wish to read this book that it caters to a certain kind of audience: new-agers who believe Mary was Jesus' Twin Flame and that they were married, and those who like to read channeled material or topics on shamanism and energy work having nothing to do with Mary (or else this wasn't explained in the first few chapters). In the second chapter, the author also goes off on a long tangent about how was told he was a healer and could send out healing with his hands and how he was asked to write a book about another energy worker. Then he goes off onto the topic of shamanism. So, it seemed, in the few chapters I read, to jump all over the place and very little had been spoken of Mary so I gave up reading it.I give it 5 stars for the courage to put this kind of book out there though. Just because I didn't really gel with it, doesn't mean she deserves to have her book ranked lower than others out there. I think if it had a different description, it would have appealed to a different audience and attracted a more fair rating. There is an audience for this type of book, after all.
