Vintiquewise(TM) Large Wooden Pirate Lockable Trunk with Lion Rings

I bought this as a treasure box for prizes in my classroom. It is the perfect size; it looks great! The kids love it and I love it too!

Looks pretty nice even in the living room. It's not rugged enough for a kid's room. I use mine to store extra light bulbs in. I don't have much closet space, and this is a good way to store light stuff in plain site.

The build is pretty solid and I really do love it! It isn't as big as I wanted but seems easy enough to replicate a bit larger. I also want to stain it a bit darker and seal cuz its kind of light colored. I recently started collecting coins a few years ago and wanted a treasure chest, I even have a home skeleton key lock lol. #32yearoldkid

Smaller than I imagined but true to design as seen in pictures. I am going to spray paint the inside with gold glitter. It is a gift for my soon to be 3 year old granddaughter.

The pictures and description say it's a fully finished and well built chest, that's not true. The wood is simple decorative wall board, and needed sanding, several nails were exposed, the leather strips were cheep pleather, and no finishing was done inside or out. Bought as a gift for a loved one and didnt have the time to get something else. Spent 6 hours doing finishing work to even come close to any images. I can't honestly recomend anyone buying this for any purpose.

This was bought as a gift, but we were surprised at how small it was (though we had read the clearly stated measurements). Maybe it looks bigger in the photo? It's not bad, just too small for the price, in our opinion.

Exactly product that was in the description No surprise when it got here. My husband really liked it. He keeps his " pirate booty " in it. Real wood too.

Bought for my son’s 6th birthday. Was looking for a sturdy trunk to hold up for him that he could keep for years and years. This trunk isn’t going to last, it looks nice but the wood is shockingly thin and light weight, (think kindling weight wood).The bottom panels don’t meet flush with the sides of the chest, and one is cracked. The hinges are chinsey and several screws fell out the second time I very GENTLY opened it (because I was afraid the lid would break off). The screws in the hinges are slightly larger than those you find in a pair of eye eye glasses! With any pressure the hinges are going to bend and bust, and the front closure thing was screwed in cockeyed-this is not quality craftmas ship. The stain is uneven, and whatever they glued the leather on with is smeared all along the sides of the leather and close by wood. This is not at all what I expected from “highest quality” and “handmade”. I’m very very disappointed. For $88, and real wood, I expected a lot more. This thing is worth about $20. And there’s no chance this will hold up to my 6 year old, and he isn’t even a rambunctious kid. 2 stars are for the decorative look only. Wish I hadn’t bought it. Definitely sending this back, unfortunately now my son won’t have the one thing he desperately wanted on his birthday. Vintiquewise-you should update your listing and CLEARLY name this a DECORATIVE piece-because it’s only good for looking at, and not intended for use by children. Not to mention a young child could choke on these screws that are dropping out of this thing. INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED.
