TowelSelections Women's Robe Turkish Cotton Terry Kimono Bathrobe

Bought this as a gift birthday gift for college bound student. So after reading the reviews, I was skeptical about this robe but here it goes.Pros:The blue color is as it is depicted on the website. Very pretty. My daughter is 4'11" and 105# so not skinny and not big, but quite short. The xs/s is slightly large but not unseemly so. It will be fine for her dorm shower. It covers all the important parts without serious gaping and is short enough to walk with confidence for one so short. The price point was perfect for her grandmother to give to her without taxing her fixed income.Cons:Luxurious it is not. I have Turkish cotton towels that are dense and soft. This is neither. While 100% cotton, it feels like a average value towel- better than a motel 8 but not a 5 star hotel. It has the thread count and weight of a big box store towel (think Walmart or Target). This was a bit of a disappointment. It did soften slightly after washing but not significantly. It also shed after its first washing, which I expected, but not significantly and no bare spots were noted. How it will hold up after multiple washings, I don't know, but given that it is dorm bound, I doubt it gets washed all that often.Misc:The blue robe is color safe as I washed it with old white t-shirt and it came out still white. (Note: I only wash in cold water). I did not notice any shrinkage although others have. It isn't a big issue for me in this case. It is an inexpensive robe compared to the other terry robes and the other robes at that price point or lower could be classified as more lingerie-ish than robe. Given that she is headed for colder climes, I chose one with more heft. While feeling somewhat disappointed, I think it is a decent robe at this price and for the purpose. Maybe when she graduates, grandma will spring for a really nice robe

I wanted to post a foto for those wondering about sizing! I'm 5'1--145 lbs. I ordered the XS/S and the robe reached mid shin, the sleeves were fairly long, and I was able to wrap it without exposing myself. It's not all that heavy or thick but it's sufficiently absorbent. Whatever stiffness or smell faded after use("brand new robe smell"). The light pink is a lovely color.

Exactly what I was looking for. Great for after a bath/shower. I also wear to lounge around after the pool or hot tub.. keeps me cozy. Love the white clean color, it's not that off white cream white. It's perfect! Also bought one for my daughter since it is so comfy. Shipping great, packaged great!

Fits great and feels great. A nice weight to it, yet not too heavy. I always wash anything I get new, so I threw this robe in washer on cold and the dryer for about 40 minutes. As you can see from photo, it didn't fray or unravel . I'm 5'10" and it came down below my knees.

I really thought hard about spending USD30 for a bathrobe, just seemed too much money for such a banal item. I changed my mind once I received my order. This is a lovely, thick, heavy robe. It did have a slight vinegary smell right out of the package, so I washed it in hot water with some towels. Yes, the hot water is against the recommendations, but I have washed the robe 5 times now (hot water, no fabric softener) and it comes out great every time. It is getting softer, but hasn’t gone limp, and the seams and stitching are holding well. I did not follow the recommendation to wash with vinegar because 1) not bothered by lint; 2) as I said, it already smelled vinegary and I didn’t want to add to that. There were a few loose threads and such after the first wash, but none since then. Also, I have not noticed any color fading or shrinking from the hot water. I can tell it hasn't faded because I wash the robe, not the belt, and can’t detect any difference in color between the robe and the belt.As to sizing, yikes. I way overbought! I’m a smallish-framed, medium-sized person and bought the medium-large robe. I did want a roomy fit, but the med/lg is bigger than I anticipated. The shoulders of the robe hang off my shoulders by about 2 inches each side. The good news is I can scrunch up the neck area to replicate a shawl-type collar effect. Here are the measurements of the medium/large bathrobe (after multiple washings): Shoulders side to side 20.5 inches. Neck to bottom hem 44.25 inches. Sleeves from shoulder seam to hem 20.5 inches. Back panel from belt loop to belt loop 23 inches. Front panels from belt loop to edge of banding 15 inches. Pockets are each 7 inches by 6.5 inches. Banding by itself is 2.25 inches. Belt is 72 inches. Weight estimate is a bit over 2 lbs.I highly recommend this robe. It has a loopy rather than plush texture and is very absorbent. The fabric is getting softer, and retaining its shape well. This robe is suitable for male or female. Perhaps buy your true size.

This is very poor quality, I wasn't expecting a super plush bath robe given the price, but this is a very cheap towel like material, but if it was a towel, you would dry your face and the towel would be all wet. Very, very thin material, I can't understand the great reviews (over 600 of them, usually that's a pretty easy win when you have that many positive reviews). Colors are very accurate, but that's about the only positive. Size wise they were a bit on the big size (but that's how a bath robe should be)...but my main problem is that it is a very low thread count, it just feel very cheap, like a $10 Walmart bathrobe.

La talla es correcta. Pedí talla chica, mido 1.55 y me queda bien en hombros y de largo. La tela es delgada pero absorbente, no es de esas toallas gruesas que no absorben nada. La lavé, la usé y tira un poco de pelusa, supongo que es normal con los primeros usos. El corte de la bata permite tapar bien y no se abre cuando caminas, pero sí cuando te sientas. Estoy muy contenta con mi compra.

Es exactamente lo que esperaba para usarla después de una ducha. Es muy suave y calientita, lo que más me gusta es que seca perfectamente sin dejar pelusas. Totalmente recomendada.

La tela y el color están muy bien, pero hay que esperar demasiado para que llegue la bata. No lo recomiendo para un regalo urgente.

Lots of threads falling out. Makes it look cheap. Has a nice weight otherwise. Would not recommend
