Great addition to my fitness DVD collection
My colleague, Katarina, and I tried Yoga Inferno, Level 1 this morning.Katarina's review: "Being a Big Beautiful Woman, I found this form of yoga exercise not "yoga' enough for me. I found it too difficult to jump around so quickly. I did make it through the 30 minutes, but I modified most of the moves. Not so much for me, however my colleague enjoyed it and whipped right through it."My review: I loved it! This definitely is not a typical yoga workout, but I found this workout very effective and time went by very fast. I like the yoga poses combined with the aerobic segments. Brief summary - breaking it down:One leg mountain climbers: Tough, but effective;Standing Mountain, Crunch: Good for abs/hamstringsCat-cow balance: great for the oblique's and balance;Puppy-down to all fours: challenging and effective;Chaturanga with leg lift, sweep up, into lifted up leg lunge: not too difficult, yet effective lower and upper body workout;Downward facing dog to plank: great for the abs, arms, good hamstring stretch;Twisting mountain climbers: great for the waist, great aerobic exercise;Chair, press hands forward while lifting balls of the feet up - challenging and effective.Monkey squats, great hamstring workout"Chair jacks" challenging, great lower body workout, very aerobic.Lunges with arm circles: Great lower and upper body workout.Warrior pose workout: good stretching and lower body workout.Leg left, calf cross: very challenging, great full body workout.Standing balance, leg lift, sweeping to the back: great for balance, great leg workout.Plank jacks: this is alternated between each segment to raise the heartbeat: not too difficult, great for the abs, great aerobic exercise;I look forward to working out to Level 2. Jillian Michael's Yoga Inferno fits perfectly into my workout routine. Running two businesses and managing a family makes it challenging to fit workouts in throughout the day. During my busy day, I manage to carve out two to three 30-minute "moment's" for fitness.....Yoga Inferno is a great addition to my weekly workout schedule. Not for beginners

Yoga on Crack
Ok , I'm really giving this a 4.5 star because I do love this DVD. However, the reason for taking down half a star is because Jillian moved too quickly, without giving thorough instructions. I found myself looking up at the screen too often to see what the girls were doing. But, as i continue to use this DVD, that will no longer be an issue.I tried workout # 1 yesterday & I loved it because I felt like I got a complete workout in a short amount of time. In 30 minutes, I squeezed in yoga (which is also strength training) plus cardio. I tried workout # 2 this morning (12 hours ago) and boy am I sore!!! Both workouts were challenging, but the moves were timed perfectly for you to catch your breath.I also have her Yoga Meltdown, which I absolutely love. I recommend mastering Yoga Meltdown first, before trying this one.Update: 4/2/14I now give this DVD a 5 star instead of 4 because I've done this DVD multiple times now and it's truly amazing!!! By the 3rd time, it didn't matter anymore that she was moving fast, because you really do get the hang of it. Workout 1 is an excellent circuit workout; it makes me sweat more than 30 Day Shred Level 2. And workout 2 is simply an amazing strength workout. I now officially love Jillian. I even bought more of her DVDs at Walmart the other day.

2 good workouts not for true beginners though
I wanted something a little more challenging and i never did a Jillian Michael's workout. Frankly, she seemed kind of scary. I do yoga so figured i would like this workout. Yes, yoga is in the title but this is not a yoga workout. There are some poses but it's more of a HIT workout. The first one i struggled a bit and did take advantage of the modifications I feel i did better with the weight workout but not sure it's because i had more energy the day i was doing it. Her voice was a bit much for me sometimes but she does motivate. Both workouts are challenging and somewhat hard, I mean if you are a true beginner not sure if i would get this but I'm more intermediate and still found them challenging. The plus was that both workouts are short, only 30 minutes.

Serious workout!
I just finished doing this workout for the first time today--I'm a huge Jillian fan, but since I just finished a round of Ripped in 30, I was worried that it wouldn't be intense enough. How silly of me! I was drenched in sweat when this was done; just as much as Level 4 of Ripped in 30, if not more. (And I only did Level 1.) I am a yoga fan but often feel like I need to alternate it with workouts that get my heart rate up more--I LOVE the way this workout combines yoga with cardio intervals. I thought it might feel strange to do things like mountain climbers and plank jacks in bare feet, but it was totally fine... and it makes this quieter than a typical Jillian workout, which I'm sure my sleeping husband will appreciate! I will say that you should be familiar with yoga before doing this workout. She moves quickly in and out of intermediate poses like pigeon without walking you through the details of the pose. It seems to build on the more beginner vibe of her first yoga DVD, Yoga Meltdown. This is definitely going to be one of my favorite workouts for the next few months--can't wait to work up to Level 2!
