I bought this gift for my parents that love to drink wine! They said it was a great gift to have, they are always saying how they wish they wine would stay cooler longer so when I saw this I knew it would be a great gift for them. They said they placed it in the freezer for an hour and took it out and out it in their bottle and were able to leave the bottle out and the wine stayed cool for a long time, they said it was nice to be able to come back for a nice cool glass of wine. They said the spout Pourer made it even nicer for them and it is something to use for when they have guests over. I'm glad they enjoyed this and I definetly recommend this

This works-[for me] only 1 -11/2 glasses 2 a time-[not large glasses]-the concept is good and it sorta works but for those of us that like room temp-[55 to 60 ] it's sorta-ok.

Simple but very effective way to quickly cool a bottle of wine to drink!

I wouldn’t call myself a wine expert, but definitely a fan. One thing I definitely like is my gadgets and when I came across this product I definitely had to give it a go just to see if it really could make a difference to the taste. I’m happy to say that not only did it make even standard supermarket bottles taste better; it is now an essential fixture in the kitchen!It arrived quickly and was well packaged – it seems like some real thought went into the packaging to make it look good and it didn’t need to be particularly well protected (even though it was) as it has clearly been designed to last a while. After a quick glance at the instructions I put it in the freezer as directed and headed out to pick up my test bottle from the store. As you’d expect, the bottle was nothing expensive but something I do like and I figured that it would be a good test.A couple of hours had passed when I got back, which conveniently is just as long as the stick needs to get to the right temperature. I left it in the bottle for a few minutes before I started drinking and was instantly struck by the taste. I always keep my wine in the fridge but this was different and it just tasted so much better. I’m not a clumsy person so rarely spill any anyway but the pourer was also a nice touch.So, I bought for the taste improvement and this product definitely gets top marks for that. However, since then I’ve found it to be particularly useful for other reasons. For starters, I tend to get my wine off the shelf rather than from the refrigerator now simply because it doesn’t need to be chilled before! It is also something I’ll be keeping in mind as a gift for those people that are impossible to buy for. Nobody that has seen it so far has owned one but they can be sure of getting one soon!Overall, I can’t recommend this item enough, even if you only drink a couple of bottles each month like me. It’s like a wine fridge, aerator and pourer in one and it pays for itself after one bottle just by making mass produced wine taste like it’s worth twice as much.

Ah, warm weather. Bottles of tart, chilled chardonnay shared on shady tables...laughter...you know the scene. Well-suited for those shady table scenes is a gift I recently received. This Wine Chiller Stick is a compact stainless steel rod and plastic spout that keeps anything chilled as it sits table-side. I used to chill bottles with iced water in a glazed ceramic sleeve, until it was broken one festive day. Now, no more bucket drips all over table, or self. Thus, a suave adult accessory.The Stick does restrict the pour a bit, like any spout. However, that feature can curb sloppy, mid-bottle pouring spills, so there's that. When screwed together, the Stick fits in neoprene wine carrier bags next to a bottle, so it can follow you around as you "tour". Don't be surprised when someone shames you into leaving it at their house, it's that cool. You do have to place it in the freezer (or ice bath) for an hour or so before use. However, we found the chilling effect outlasts the bottle, (at least with the wine hounds I hang with). Yes, The Stick also fits many bottles of fancy chilled vodka or agave tequila. As such, makes a fine gift for virtually any type of party. Recommended.
