Good features and construction
Assisted open works fine, blade swings open smoothly and locks on its own once opened about 30 degrees even if knife held vertically. Decent heft and good grip with rubberized finish, whistle seem more like a dog whistle and fire starter rod looks like it would work in pinch but better than nothing. Partially serrated blade is really sharp. Looks and works well for everyday tasks, good belt clip holds tight. For the money its a good buy and should hold up well, not worried if it gets dropped or dinged up, its a working knife, looks good but not a showpiece and expect it will show effects of normal wear and tear. Would buy again.

Love this knife!
This is actually my second time owning this knife. I lost my old one, so I had to replace it because it's my favorite knife. It comes very sharp and holds its edge. The ferro rod is a great edition to this survival knife. It could save your life in a pinch. The whistle on the ferro rod sounds quiet if you blow in it lightly but give it a hard blow and it will get you heard. The hex wrenches are super nice. I've had to use them a few times and it's just handy to have them on a knife you carry around. The bottle opener gets it's use as well. The knife opens fast and easy as well. This is a great knife especially for the price.

Got this for my girlfriend
Good brand, good blade, good grip, good features. I wish it had a nub to flip it open like most assisted opening knives. Mostly like it because the emergency whistle is so loud and high pitched that it's ear piercing. You could hear it from a city block away. When I first tested it, it drove my dog nuts, barking and whining and running around the house. Anyone within earshot would know whoever was blowing it was having an emergency.I feel better knowing that my girlfriend carries it, because not only does it have a bunch of handy features, but it's also well suited for self-defense, self-rescue, or alerting others in the area to an emergency. It's more than worth the price so that my girlfriend can prevent herself from being assaulted.

Survival EDC Folding Assisted-Opening Knife
Performs as expected for the price. As long as you cycle it open and closed about 50+ times it will break in and become easier to open and close with ease without feeling loose. The whistle seems plenty loud. I haven’t tried the ferro rod, bottle opener, glass breaker, seatbelt cutter, or hex wrench features yet, but as a jack of all trades, master of none EDC tool, it’s not bad to have around. The knife seems plenty sharp and has punctured and sliced through thick cardboard with ease.

Packed with Features / Great Value
The media could not be loaded. Great knife! I was a little skeptical given so few reviews, but I'm glad I took a chance on this one. Had everything I wanted in a EDC survival knife, and has as some great features that rival those found in knives that cost 4x as much.Pros:1) Sturdy - very little blade wobble. Belt/pocket clip is strong and reliable.2) Handle is ergonomic and has a nice, rubberized black finish - very grippy and comfortable.3) Strong, spring assisted opening. Easy to close. No safety FYI (I prefer not to have one for faster deployment).4) Loaded with features: partially serrated blade, whistle, fire-starter, glass breaker, bottle opener, cord cutter, partially skeletonized handled (weight saving/cool look).Cons:1) Could be a little sharper out of the box, but that's an easy fix2) Finish on pocket clip is already wearing off after just a couple weeks of use, which is annoying, but not uncommon - I've had much more expensive knives with this same problem.Overall - 5 stars hands down. Great features and value at such a low price point. Get it!

Has become my EDC
Very sharp right out of the box and fits my hand very well. Blade flips open easily and clips on the belt. I use it for fishing mainly, but it has also taken the place of my box cutter at work and at home. I have even cleaned fish with it the blade is so good. After several months of Every Day Carry the finish is starting to wear off in the places it rubs the most, but given how it almost never leaves my pocket anymore this is to be expected. I have cut down sticks as rod holders and as fish stringers with this thing. I have tightened wireless antenna ports with the hex slots. I have opened beer bottles with the opener and cut fishing line with both the blade and the cord cutter. I have used the screwdriver to tighten cabinet doors. About the only thing I haven't used in a real situation is the whistle and ferro rod.Overall everything is awesome on this knife. You wont regret it.The only bad thing with my knife is the ferro rod came loose the first time I took it out of its slot on the knife, and fell off the whistle. That made it impossible to use going forward as any time you attempted a spark, the rod would go flying out of the "handle" and into the ground. I used a dab of superglue on the bottom of the rod and it stays in now. Not sure if this is intentional or not but the glue works for me.

Not quality I expect out of S&W
Not high end but decent selection of multi-tool options. Point, blade and serrated edges are sharp on mine. This piece if very sturdy and easy to hold/handle.The finish on the knife will wear out fast for edc. The knife itself can dull out fast depending on frequency of usage or types of items being cut.***My one major issue I've had so far, recently discovered, is a spring or part which rests between the plate and blade release lever. The lubricated spring/part moves freely when the knife is in the extended position. When in said position, the spring moves about and actually jams the blade release lever; preventing you from withdrawing the blade and closing it up. I would need to smack the blade around or use something thin enough to reseat (not permanently, of course, because I don't know how it's supposed to be secured) this spring/part before I can close the blade.***Overall, everything that comes on this knife is usable to a degree; it'll work in the absence of a proper tool. The mechanics are simple enough with very little moving parts; however, whatever parts do move seem to have trouble doing it's part.
