Otterbox Defender Series for HTC One M8 - Frustration-Free Packaging - Blueprint

I will be honest, I hate the phone M8 one. The screen is super super annoyingly sensitive and "double taps" everything with the slightest touch.The cell phone case, which LOVE, has the screen protector built on. So, the problem is that the super ultra sensitive cell phone thinks that you double tap or zoom out of everything when using it with the otterbox case on it. When texting my words have 2-4 extra letters on every. single. word.Really, if you bought the HTC one M8, go exchange it. It is a cell phone for those who want a laptop to facebook and twitter, etc, that can make the rare interaction as a cell phone. As a phone, your calls are often ignored (As in, your phone does not even ring) or will not connect (as in, the person you are calling doesn't even ring) and the lame ring tones it comes with all sound like wind chimes farting in the wind. Really, you cant hear this thing even when it is sitting on the counter 3 feet away. UGGGG endless frustration if you are a business owner.but the case is extremely robust and awesome. I love how it comes with a belt hook that can be removed. I use this when I am at home lounging in pajamas without pockets- it just clips to my hip.I have already accidentally dropped this thing on the ground whilst walking on the street and it managed to protect my horrible investment (cell phone)So, if you are one of the unfortunate people who got suckered in to being stuck in a 2 year relationship with this phone, this is the perfect case to protect your bad investment (cell phone). Don't buy anything but otterbox!!

Otterbox as a company deserves 6 stars. I had an issue with the interior case bowing on the screen. I called otterbox and they sent me a replacement part within a week! Super easy process, New part worked great! The reason for the 4 star on the HTC one m8 case is that the back is curved, which makes it more aslippery. I've always had otterbox cases for all my phone's, this is the first one that has a rounded back. It makes it a little difficult to balance it on surfaces, and slipps around a lot. And there is no cover for the power button, which is strange, all the other cases had a rubber button on top of phone buttons, the volume buttons have it, why not for the power? Plus the case seems strangely susceptible to water getting under the screen protector, probably because of all the holes, on account of the 2 speakers and 2 lenses. Beyond all the issues, it's still an otterbox, one of the best phone cases available.

I loved this phone cover. I read through a bunch of reviews before deciding to purchase. There were a lot of comments regarding the screen cover that comes with the case, and I would have to agree with them on the touch screen issues you'll have if you use the flimsy plastic cover that comes with the case (there is a noticeable gap between it and the phone's screen. I removed the built in screen cover and used this one with the TechPro screen cover instead (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KI0T4MM/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_5). The cover also seems to get dirty a bit quickly. Although I was disappointed by the lighter blue cover, which is nothing like the navy blue shown, and despite the other issues, I think that this is the best quality case I have found so far.

Bought this for my HTC M8 first time it came out. Been using it for 2 yrs. Dropped my phone several times on the asphalt sometimes it on the cement I made it worst by trying to catch it but ended up bouncing off my hand. But this Case kept it pristine and new.Pros- High quality- Has a built in screen protector- Protected my phone & my cameraCons- Bulky- Screen protector is a little thick and has a gap from the screen protector and the actual screen, so sometimes touch screen is not that sensitive. So what I did, was removed the protector and used a Skinomi screen protector. Worked well for me & for my phone.

I received this case and I love it , very nice tight fit. I see some other reviews where people said that the screen protector did not fit tight mine does. Also the port for power and head phones mine fits nice and I feel secure about it. Other people where complaining about it also the power button on the top people are giving bad reviews but you can't cover that because the inferred for the remote would not work . I am not so happy about the camera lens on the back not being coverd other than that I am very satisfied with this case. I think other people are just trying to get their money back or a free case.

Just got this case for my HTC One M8 three days ago. I like it overall but the built in screen protector is driving me crazy. I can not scroll through anything on the phone without the phone thinking I want to open something like when I am scrolling through Blink feed news or when I am in settings scrolling through it, it keeps opening what ever I just touched while scrolling. It keeps putting multiple letters when I am texting and I have to keep going back to delete the extra letters. I might just cut the screen protector off the case. I had this same case for my iphone 4 and I didn't have this problem with the screen protector so I don't know what is wrong with it.Update 27 May. I decided to remove the screen protector as it was just to annoying. I tried putting a folded napkin behind the phone and the case to get it tighter against the screen but it did not help at all. I emailed otterbox and explained what was happening and they are sending me a replacement case.I do like the feel of the case and think it will protect my phone if I drop it so I am going to keep this case and use it without the screen protector.Updated Sept 25 2015: I haven't used the case for around 5 months I got tired of the cheap look this case gave my phone, It stretched in the corners making it look terrible. For the price I paid it should keep its shape. Never buying a Otter box case again.

Otter box as described, however, the otterbox people really need to consider the scratch resistance of the screen protectors. This is my 5th Otterbox defender and my last, as it was showing scratches within a week of use.

Its too bulky.
