MOOG K80141 Front Lower Suspension Ball Joint for Mercury Grand Marquis

I ordered 2 lower ball joints, for a 2003 Crown Victoria. The first one fit perfect. The second one (which arrived late) had the wrong nut in the package. The Moog K80141 requires a nut with a plastic insert, to keep it from vibrating loose. The factory packaged an older style nut, that used a pin to keep it from vibrating loose (which would not work on the newer style cars). Amazon took care of the problem quickly. This ball joint is made in America, and has a grease fitting. By the way, Ford suspension parts are made by Moog, TRW, and one other company.

You will need the press to both remove and install the ball joints I trust Moog and really like that I always get a grease-able part.

I like moog. No issues what so ever. It lasted me a solid month! I am being a complete smart*** btw. I know it would have lasted for years but this lower ball joint met its demise when I lost control of my 2006 Vic in a snow storm and smashed into a curb at 40MPH. Surprisingly enough it had just a little play, but it was enough to re-order and install a new one.

Installed on my 03 Town Car, they were easy to install and appear to be working so far.

Put two of these in my 2010 Crown Vic Police Interceptor. Worked great, seemed to be very well built. Always been happy with MOOG products, this is no exception.

Moog has become the only replacement ball joints I will use. The only thing about these is to be careful when installing the zerk fitting because they are easy to crossthread! Use on for the lower on a 2003 Crown vic.

Good product, please go back to tapping out grease fitting hole. Make sure you read instructions . These ball joint 's must go the way instructions specify.

Steering feels a lot tighter, replace the originals which were from 2003

MOOG makes great parts! I could not find this part around town, very happy to find it here so I could replace my very worn out OEM one. Car handles way better now!
