Worked perfect
Our 11 Terrain had the factory plug inside tucked away. This plugged into that, and worked perfect. Very east install, took less than 10 minutes

Good product.
Good for price, easy to install. Comes with directions to find where your trailer lights plug is. That means for your chevy equinox, you dont have to clip wires and wire it in. The plug exists. Just plug it in. Theres a plastic circular plug underneath your spare(the left one, there's two), pry that up with a screwdriver or something and cut a small piece off the outside large enough to fit the wire out. Then seal it up with silicone, or ask your local shop for some dum dum(it's called insulating tape, it's a black tar like substance that's usually used for a/c projects). But dum dum is great for alot of uses. Like $15 for a roll at napa. You'll probably never use all of it, and it will randomly be your savior for the do it yourselfer.

Installed on 2015 Equinox with no problem
Easy to install. Just open up the access panel in the left rear of the vehicle and look for the gray connector. Plugged right in and worked just fine. WAY easier to install this than trying to install the other version you can find that requires you to remove the tail lights and connect into them.

Worked perfectly on my 2015 GMC Terrain Sle that I added the trailer package too, I had been using a different harness that tied into both rear lights that eventually started having problems with, found out about this plug under the the spare tire on the left side looking for a new harness, doubled checked to make sure I had the plug and I did, ordered this harness, took more time unloading my truck than it did to install it, I ran the wire under my carpet matt and leave it there till I need it, very simple folks. No brainer if you ask me. Now my lights are run on factory fuses under the hood. Not tied into my tail lights.
