An Introductory Guide to Ancient Greek and Roman Coins: Volume 1 - Greek Civic Coins and Tribal Issues (Spink Living History)

The book was very clearly written with both amateur and expert collectors in mind. The book itself is quite heavy to handle due to the thick glossy paper used but probably necessary to allow good quality photographs. As a novice to coin collecting , I found the index of Greek inscriptions on coins very useful indeed as well as maps at the back to show old names and locations. I am looking forward to Volumes 2 and 3 when they are published.
