good small biner for light tasks
bought these for clipping various lines/objects to other lines/objects when camping. For that they are great. All 10 that I've used under load operate smoothly and are very uniform in appearance and function. Fit and finish are very good - better than I expected. I do not use them under high load, but, for instance, for clipping my hammock-camping tarp to the continuous ridgeline via a prussik, they do very well. Under such loads I've inspected them very carefully, and even when i crank things down tight, these little biners show no signs of bending or deflecting/deforming. Obviously from the load limit, I'm not going to use to suspend my hammock, or heavy gear but for general hanging/clipping use, these are great and very light and small compared to other options I've used. I've very satisfied with them, can even say they slightly exceed my expectations. They are so light, smooth working, and good looking in action, I am tempted to buy more :)====================update:Now that I've had a chance to use these for a while, out in the "field," I wanted to drop an update to say they are all holding up well, none have had any issues or failures. No corrosion, no problems with finish, no deformation, no degradation of function of any kind. Still a solid 5 stars. I looked at buying these again and saw some very reviews, complaining they are small. Yes, these ARE small, light-weight clips. Please **DO** measure your cord before you buy these so you won't be disappointed, and DON'T plan to use these for heavy work. Pictures I see/saw are close up, I presume to show detail, so BEWARE (!!!), they may appear larger on your screen than they are in real life! The beauty of these is that they are SMALL, LIGHT clips. For instance, while 1/4" cord might be tight, 550 para goes through fine and small diameter HMWPE (1.5-2.5) works great with tons of room to spare. While my ~2mm HMWPE is good for hundreds of lbs, these clips are of course, NOT. The 5-10# or so of estimated force with which I typically load them (static, not dynamic load ... I don't "jolt" them) seems easily to be well within their capacity to sustain.I have no relation of any kind to seller ... I just hope the negative reviews related to lack of suitability to a particular application more than the product itself don't scare folks off. Please, no offense intended to folks who are disappointed in these being smaller than they need - I feel your pain. Hopefully, though, reviews that make it very clear what the product is and where the product works well (as well as honestly stating it's limitations!) will help prevent shoppers from buying the wrong item for the wrong purpose!

These should be perfect for my intended use rigging quick connect / disconnect tent guy lines
These should be perfect for my intended use rigging quick connect / disconnect tent guy lines.I'm a little amazed by the other reviewers who seemed to be caught by surprise by the size of these clips. The photos and specs included in the listing are pretty clear about the size. They even show it with some paracord for reference and include a diagram with dimensions. Do people not bother to read about the product before ordering?Anyway, these turned out to be exactly as advertised. They are small, thin, light, and smooth with no sharp edges that could damage delicate fabrics. The smoothness thing is important for me as I bought these to attach guy lines to three backpacking tents I own. I can't have anything near the lightweight polyester rain fly material that might rip it or cause wear on the waterproof coating. So, as I said I bought these to make setup and take down of my three backpacking tents easier and faster without causing any wear or damage to the tents. The tents involved are a.....1.) Marmot Limelight 3 person with a total of 8 guy lines 1 at each corner and 2 on each side.2.) Marmot Limelight 2 person with a total of 6 guy lines 1 at each corner and 1 on each side.3.) Marmot Tungsten 1 person with a total of 5 guy lines 1 at each corner and 1 on the rear of the tent. These should be perfect for my intended use.Weight - I can add 8 of these to the 3 person tent with only a 1.02 oz weight penalty. I can add 6 to the 2 person tent with only a 0.78 oz weight penalty. And I can add 5 of these to the 1 person tent with only a 0.65 oz weight penalty. That weight will be undetectable in my backpack and more than offset by the ease and speed of attaching the guy lines when I need them or detaching them to pack up in the morning.Strength - The product specs show a weight rating of 15 kg or 34 lbs. That's acceptable for my purpose. I don't need a carabiner rated for 3,000 lbs to hold a guy line. You've got to look at the whole system and choose the pieces accordingly. My system consists of.....1.) A lightweight round aluminum tent stake 7" long. The tent stakes have a limited amount of holding power depending on the ground they are being used in. Having a clip that far exceeds they holding power of the stake is pointless.2.) A guy line. Most of the guy lines are polypropylene or some similar thin rope supplied with the tents. Where necessary, the side guy out points, I used 550 paracord to add lines not supplied by the manufacturer. All of the guy lines are by far the strongest link in the system, offering hundreds of lbs of break strength.3.) These clips are on one end of the guy line so the lines can be clipped to the tent. At a 34 lb rated break strength, they sound sort of weak. But, if anything is gonna fail, I want it to be something other than the tent fly fabric loops or the tent fly itself. These clips are cheap and easy to replace. Repairing the tent fly would be a pain and replacing it could cost $150.4.) The final link in the system is the lightweight polyester rain fly itself, the thing I'm ultimately trying to hold in place and the thing that can least afford to take any damage. Failure of the rain fly fabric or a loop would mean getting soaked in a storm and repair / replacement is much tougher than replacing a stake, a guy line, or a spring clip.Material - The product listing refers to this as aluminum alloy with a zinc content. That generally means a 7000 series aluminum like 7001 or 7075 which are aircraft grade alloys. 7075 aluminum in particular can have strength similar to steel. That's the same stuff my tent stakes are made of. It's also very resistant to oxidation. On top of that, these are either painted or anodized. My bet is anodized because the coating seems too thin and smooth to be paint. And generally, an anodized finish holds up really well over time in moisture.Size - Perfect for what I was looking for. Super small and light but with a hook, gate, and an attachment hole that works perfectly with 550 paracord.Downsides - The spring loaded gates are surprisingly strong which makes operating something this small and hard to grip a little tough. Personally, I'd like to see the resistance of the spring cut in half. But I'm sure there are people using these for keys and such who like the heavy duty springs just fine. Clipping them on the tent is no problem but holding the gate open to remove them is a challenge.Other considerations - The hook does have a little bump in it where the spring loaded gate rests but it's hardly detectable and very smooth. It doesn't snag the paracord and make it hard to slip the cord out of the hook at all. On the other hand, it doesn't provide any locking for the gate or add any strength to the hook. That smoothness works for me. If you're looking for something stronger you may want to look at a design where the gate locks into a notch to reinforce the hook strength.Overall, these are exactly what I was looking for. I bought 2 packs of 12 to completely rig 3 tents for $22. I'm happy.

Works well, so far no failures. Black ones aren't going to stay black, would buy silver next time
Black ones were a little bit cheaper and went with them. Would buy the silver next time as the black ones painted finish wears off quickly. They work well and I like them. The small ones are pretty little. They are holding up well and I use them on my key rings in case I want to link a couple different keys together. I would/will buy more from this seller. The quality is very good. Wish they carried a few other similar items as This experience shows they value quality of the item at an economical price. That is in line with my needs/desires.

Perfect size and good build quality
Perfect size and good build quality especially the sprung clip gate. Easy enough to use, but not too big to be bulky.

Great for Travel to Deter Pickpockets
These are fantastic for travel. We use them to secure any bag with a double zipper. They do not lock. They just clip but they are a deterrent for pickpockets who look for distracted tourists. I hope that if they try to pickpocket us and have trouble opening our bags, they'll move on to the next tourist with easier access. You get a lot of these when buying, and they are about 1.5" long. Highly recommend.

Decent product.
Sought an effect product that is minimal, sturdy, sleek, affordable, and in black. So far, six months in, I'm very satisfied. Only needed two for my house/vehicle and work keys, so it's nice having the back ups as well.I will say the black coating is chipping off ever so slightly, HOWEVER, I sanitize them every night after work or going out with either a gel sanitizer or a sanitizing liquid. With that, it's expected most things will fade or chip after so many cleanings over time.Definitely would recommend for keys, basically perfect.
