Nice and light. Fits nice in the hand. Might be a bit slick when wet. I wanted these to replace my hemostats for pulling hooks but they dont lock closed. When in the lock position there is an 1/8th inch gap. The jaws dont line up perfectly either. They seem pretty poorly made.

I like the ability to lock the jaws onto small objects - my cold, stiff fingers don't work as well as they used to. Worked very nicely to hold a small piece of electrical cable I needed to solder to repair a radio harness that had come loose. Haven't tried it for its intended purpose of holding flies and pulling hooks from wiggling fish, but it seems sturdy. Very light.

Lightweigt, but poorly made. Jaws don't align, and prone to twist if stressed. Probably OK for a few trips, or maybe a season, but don't expect a "lifetime" tool. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

Decent quality and design. They may not be the best for fly fishing. The locking mechanism is not tight like a hemostat. Definitely for clamping large tackle but not fly tackle.

I was squeezing a split shot. They Broke. How can something break when it is squeezing soft lead?So disappointed.They look cool. Total crap.

If you need a plier for split rings too, you dont want to buy it. I had ring plier so it didnt matter.Everything else is fine.

Seems like nice quality. we will see how it hold up on the pier

Terrible product! Was really excited to use these new pliers on my annual fishing trip. They lasted less then 4 hours on the first day!!! So dissatisfied with construction. All I was doing was crimping a siwash hook on lure... and snap, there goes half my pliers into the river.
