Great quality!
I usually refill my own toner via toner refills online, but it turns out my cartridge was beginning to cause some issues like splotches on pages, etc. from being refilled too many times. For those who don't know, you can open these cartridges and clean them out. After cleaning them out, you can refill the toner with certain toner that is available for purchase from many vendors online on a variety of auction sites, etc.Anyway, this is actually my first true genuine cartridge for my Canon MF4150 laser printer and it works perfectly. I have yet to have any imperfections on my printouts. I can estimate that I've probably printed out maybe 500 to 750 pages so far on this cartridge. My printer has a toner gauge of sorts that shows how much toner you have left. If is still sitting at 3 bars out of 3 (In other words, it's still showing a full cartridge). If this is true, I still have many more prints left out of this cartridge. I print everything from the general webpage to coupons (A LOT of them). The packaging of the cartridge is very nice. Canon has this inventive protective air padding wrapped around the cartridge within the box that helps to protect the cartridge from any damage during shipment. It just screams quality when you open the box and take the cartridge out.Once this cartridge is finally empty, I do plan on disassembling the cartridge and trying to refill like I've done in the past several times before in order to try and save money. If you refill the cartridges correctly, you will end up with quality printouts without issue.I hope this review has been helpful. I have had my printer (Canon MF4150) for about 3 years now and I have always used generic cartridges up until now. The genuine cartridges may cost a good bit more ($70 compared to $15 to $30 for generic), but it is worth it in the end as you get more prints overall and great quality in your printouts.

This is the only acceptable print cartridge I have found.
First of all, I've tried several remanufactured cartridges. They are hit or miss. This isn't a review on them, but seriously, 1/5 will print more than 100 pages consistently, beyond 100 pages on the good cartridge is a matter of luck. Smeared, overprints, too much toner, all are part of the remanufacturing game. It's up to you how much patience you have.On the other hand my strategy (which has worked well) is to purchase the original cartridge, and refill it with a reputable toner refill. The 104 cartridge is good for this as it is not chipped and has a high quality drum which lasts (IME) about 6000 pages. The cartridge itself has excellent toner, image, and reliability. I have owned several 104's, and also several HP 12A (similar cartridge, HP cartridge, drum, and toner are made by Canon, one plastic tab is the difference). All have worked very well. Buying the real thing and refilling lowers my per print cost down to 1.2 cents per page. Most of which is the cost of paper. If you don't refill, the per print cost is still less than 6 cents per page, depending on paper. Well worth it either way.

Best Price and Genuine
Nothing beats Canon original toner cartridge at Amazon's discounted price. The OEM cartridge is simply the best, and you get no toner run-on or discoloration on the page. I went first to Office Depot to pick one up, but the label price was close to $100, and I didn't have the stamina for a price match; besides, they do not price match with Amazon. When I checked Amazon later, it was more than %30 off. Now that I received the shipment, I see that it is the same as the store's cartridge with even the same laser hologram of originality. While $30 may not seem much at first, consider that I've went through almost 5 of these in the past three years, and if I would've used Amazon, I could have gotten at least two cartridges for free by now.Back to the cartridge, it is the same high quality Canon toner as always. However, recently I feel that I change the toner more frequently than like three years ago. My printing habit has not changed much, and I don't know if Canon uses less toner or what, but the interval between each change has decreased. And yes, I shake the cartridge whenever the "low toner" warning comes up to get every last bit of the powder and my cents, so that is not it! Maybe it is just a feeling, and I cannot be sure until I run an extensive test on my prints. Anyways, don't hesitate to buy this toner cartridge, it is the same as you get in store, but in a fraction of the price.

Authentic Canon makes a difference
I've ordered a number of these cartridges; my wife helps out with the school auction so sometimes we do large print runs, and they work flawlessly.Regarding other reviews:1) I don't understand the comments about not receiving a first quality Canon cartridge; what I get is clearly from Canon.2) Doing mailings has allowed me to calibrate capacity pretty well. The cartridge prints over 2000 pages of a full page letter with just a small logo at the top. A page of text probably describes 5% coverage even though it seems intuitively like it would be more than 5%. If you do the math, you'll see that 5% coverage is 4.7 square inches on normal letter paper. That's a lot of black!I believe some of the reason I've had such a good experience with my Canon printers is that I use Canon cartridges. If you have a Canon printer, this is the cartridge to buy.
