Vague instructions but alot of options.
This kit's sprues are identical to Revell of Germany's rendition of the MH-60l. I believe Italeri used RoGs build diagrams because you quickly realize you end up with a MH-60l when you are done reading the instructions and not the MH-60k pictured on the box art. I suspect they only changed the lead page, with their name and aircraft description and the decal diagrams at the end.The saving grace is that it appears most of the parts are there to build several different variations of the helicopter with quite a bit of detail. The UH-60a, MH-60l and the MH-60k can be built from this kit. The sprues have many parts (which are not mentioned in the instructions) that will go to your spares bin depending which type you build. It has the tailplanes for both the early and late versions of the Blackhawk. It also includes the gun pylons that a DAP would use as well as the ETS system for raised external fuel tanks on the MH-60k. It comes with the refuelling probe as well as many different sensors, antennae and radar used on the different models. The only thing I wish it had are the miniguns for the crew chiefs. It has the large caliber (50)? guns that are common for army helicopters but I would have liked to have the special ops mini guns. The instructions do not bother me because I want to build a Mogodishu era MH-60l anyway and I was wondering how I was going to convert this kit before I saw what it included.I gave it four stars however because this kit has typical Revell like windows. Specifically, the pilot skylights and the nose clear pieces are not accurately shaped and their thickness give the kit a toylike appearance. Don't get me wrong, it will build a nice model out of the box but for rivet counters, like me, the clear parts are an issue. I plan on vacuforming my own clear parts to replace these. The best Blackhawk kits are in 1:35 scale but I collect 1:48 and I believe, for me, this is the best 1:48 kit available. I would recommend this kit to anyone who is comfortable building a model using references without exacting instructions and some scratch building or to someone who just wants a representation of a Blackhawk not worried with the details.A new problem arose after seeing all of the extra parts.....maybe I should build a DAP...or maybe an MH-60K with the ETS tanks...hmmm.

Italeri junk
I bought this Blackhawk helicopter and as usual it was the worst illustrations in the instructions. I ended up throwing it in the trash. That was the second one I bought and I’ll never buy from Italeri again. Not only that but Amazon wouldn’t take it back. I knew right then it was a piece of junk and I was right.

Main rotor blade assembly very weak and poorly constructed. Some minor fit problems with the front windshield. Will take time to fill in gaps.
