Classic story. I scanned the book to read to my Distance Learners bc we had a student move. That’s how wonderful this story is...read Ira Sleeps over first.

Growing up I loves Ira Sleeps Over, so naturally I wanted to share it with my kids. When ordering a copy I saw the author wrote Ira Says Goodbye, I had no idea! I ordered both and we all fell in love with it. My kids, 5 & 8, request both regularly for bedtime stories. Highly recommended

Love this book. Ira Sleeps Over was one of the first books I bought for my now 39yr old son. It was his favorite and to this day can recite the story from memory. Ira Says Goodbye will start a new tradition.

if you are looking for this CLASSIC.....you will be so happy to find it.My children had it and now my grandson really enjoys the story.

This is a wonderful story for any & every child who has been faced with the trauma of seeing their best friend move away to a far distant place or having to move away themselves. It is vivid in describing the feelings that have to be endured & also offers hope & consolatiion.

Helped my niece (and me, really) process my moving far away. She wanted it read to her every night for a month before I left. Just looking at the cover picture makes me wistful.

We got this book for our granddaughters when they moved to Texas. This book helped us with some of the feelings we were all feeling about leaving friends and family. I would recommend it to anyone. It is great for adults too. We also loved Ira Sleeps Over.....

Was giving this to a friend who was leaving. I was a little disappointed with the story.
