Angelcare Movement & Sound Baby Monitor - AC201 - 1X

So, here's the deal. Yes, occasionally there Wil be a false alarm. Who cares? It does the job it says it will do.It quite literally saved my daughter's life. I was a single mom and couldn't afford the "fancier" version. I had this one. It went off a few days in a row. I took her to the doctor because her breathing didn't seem right, it wasn't. Her oxygen level was at 85. She received breathing treatments and was transferred to another hospital where I was told I was "paranoid" "a nervous first time mom" we were sent home. The next day she stopped breathing in my arms. I have her breathing treatments I had at home and the emt's did so when they got there quickly. Vanderbilt ran every test they had and had no explanation.Because I had this monitor I was more aware. I was nervous. It saved her life. It also let me sleep SO peacefully on the nights I didn't have a false alarm.I now have a happy, healthy 4 year old. Thank you AngelCare.Buy it, yes it cheaper. No, it isn't as "fancy" but it's incredible.

I bought one of these 5 years ago and used it with my oldest son and second son and I was a big fan. However, the sound monitor stopped working, so I decided to get a new one when my daughter was born. Well, it's awful...it worked for a couple of weeks, then it started to malfunction. The alarm kept going off, even though my daughter was breathing just fine. Not sure what happened, but it seems that the quality of this monitor has changed since 5 years ago.

I'm giving this 3 stars because I like this type of monitor. I used one with my first child and loved it. However, this monitor was defective and I went on a struggle with the seller an finally had to get Amazon involved and it took 2 weeks to get a refund for this item. I reordered a newer version of this monitor from a different seller and love it.

The movement sensor works properly and the system was easy to set up. However, I am annoyed by the sound monitor because it has a constant static/buzzing sound in the background when everything is completely quiet.

The good:- Monitors baby movement with minimal false alarms.- Much lower price than other Angelcare monitors.- Helps neurotic adults with an infant in their care get some sleep without checking baby every ten seconds.The bad:- The parent monitor has an obnoxiously loud static no matter what frequency or volume one uses.- Motion ticker is grating to listen to for any length of time. (You can turn it off, but that seems pointless.)- Monitor range is lacking. As in, it sucks.All-in-all I do not regret the purchase and would buy again for the peace of mind. However, had I not been on such a strict budget, I much prefer the BabyHalo/Hero monitor over this one.

Love this product. I have four grandchilden ages 2mounts- 10 years old. 3 of the kids stopped breathing while sleeping and were taken out of cribs and they started breathing again. Thanks to angel monitors My grandkids are still with us. That is the 1st item we buy when I have a new baby being born in our family.

The parent unit always produces a noise. Once we decrease the volume on it, noise decreases together with the ability to hear an alarm when baby doesn't move.Moreover there is a way to turn off movement sensor but no way to turn off very low quality mic/sound part. Isn't the main purpose of this device the movement sensor itself?!Need to return it back after 1 day since constant noise makes me feel nervous already.

I love this product. Some reviews said something about the monitor being loud, however, I haven't had this problem. If the monitor is on and you turn off the unit to pick up baby it does have a loud feedback. The monitor itself though sounds just like any other monster. I love this and wish I had it for my 1st child.
