This is not something you would normally use when just reading a book - but when you are writing an assignment and need to include a quote from a source it is invaluable. It holds down a normal novel sized book well, even ones that are quite thick and allows you to have both hands to type any quotes. I took off a star as it would be perfect if it was just a couple of centimetres wider - the height is grand . Also the angle on the sides makes it look pretty but distorts the line reference numbers - but that is a small thing and overall it is great and I will get plenty of use out of it.

I wanted this because I usually read while I have dinner and normal book weights are a pain as they have to be moved around constantly. the reflection on the plexiglass is annoying but I suppose it can be fixed with the right light (unfortunately not possible in my case unless I eat in bed... not going to happen). the shape of the “pages” is weirdly tall and narrow so even on paperbacks the text is broken by the thick slanting edge, making it impossible to read, or at least spoiling the pleasure of reading. overall a waste of money.

Ideal size for a paperback, but heavy enough to hold open a recipe book at correct page.Well made and aesthetically pleasing to use.

Check the measurements! it wasn’t weighty enough to hold down the pages and a bit too small, it a shame it just needs to be bigger to cover the whole page and size would add some more weight, sadly returned.
