I do not believe it's a strawberry.
Well, I admit, I have never started strawberries from seed, but does this look like a strawberry plant? This is what grew from the seeds I purchased. I will give it a little longer and if I'm wrong, I will update the rating.

100 percent germination rate, but I wish they gave more seeds by that price
I received the seed's package on Wednesday November 04, 2013. I germinated them using the "damped paper towel and ziplock bag" method. Five days latter the first three seeds sprouted and I moved them to small paper containers with potting soil. The remaining seed sprouted few days latter.Unfortunately, and because the seeds are so small, while moving the seed to their new containers, I "lost" two of them, so I only have as today, eight strawberry seedlings. The seeds arrived in a small ziplock bag, that was inside a bigger ziplock bag, with some printed instructions from Hirts. I don't know how reputable is Hirts, but they way the seeds were packaged (so amateurish and without brand or more detailed information and instructions), I don't really know whether the seeds are Toscana Strawberries or not. I do have a big Toscana plant, so I have a way to make a comparison when my plants grow up.Another caveat is that you have so few seed per package: only ten. I know that this is the norm with some hybrid or known varieties, but still, it would be great to have more seeds. If my strawberries survive until blooming, I'll update this review with more information.
