Virtually all topicals nowadays fleas and ticks are resistant to, this one is still working. My 30lbs dog spends a lot of time in the field and always comes back with ticks. Though I clean him up before he goes into the car, there is always a good chance a tick is hiding in his fur. But even a day later when I do find it, it has not latched on - thanks to this product. Haven't seen a flea in a long time either.The product makes his fur a little oily feeling for a day or two but that is the only "negative" - my dog is not drowsy and seems to have no ill effect.

Great for my dog! She has no irritation. Good bang for my buck.

My vet had me change over to Vectra a few years ago. I use it along with a flea collar for extra protection because our dogs go to Dog Parks and Forest preserves. The day after I applied it , we took our two dogs to the forest preserve . When we got home I found a dead tick on one of our dogs, our other dog had no ticks. In the 5 or so years since I used this product , that is only the second time a dead tick was found no live ticks ever found on our dogs But keep in mind, you need to be consistent on applying it..

Meets expectations

My vet recommended this product years ago. I didn't love that it was topical but I gave it a go anyways. She was so right. I've done a lot of research on flea and tick prevention and Vectra is top notch. I love that it repels away all bugs and doesn't allow them to even sit on my dogs' fur, let alone latch. I've seen other dogs who have ticks on them but the owner wasn't worried because the medicine they used was non-latching. I'm telling you if I saw a bug on them, I would freak out. I don't even want there to be a chance of latching. This product keeps the bugs away! I have such peace of mind. Cons: it does make your pups oily for a few days but it goes away.

We go to a very expensive vet ( they take good care of our dogs ) but they charge an arm and a leg for just one of these tubes.I found this vendor and will stick with them as long as they supply ! We have a sweet dog who is allergic to the pill so we have no choice but to go topical .Great product and keeps our little Winnie safe from harmful stress (from the pill she used to get ) and of course , fleas !

We ordered ahead so would have. Every month on the fourth we used Vectra. May 4, 2020 we put Vectra on our dog. We have been using since 2018. Our dog started scratching and had sores. On Nay 21st went to our vet and she got fleas off Georgia. Had to give antibiotics and flea pill. Shaved her leg and tail. Now company will not let us return the 6 because over 30 days. I ordered earlier because May 4th was last one. I buy for 6 months. Do not buy ahead. [email protected] called me back and said to call Amazon for return and refund. So this product is not guaranteed! My vet got live fleas off my dog. I told that I could get letter from my vet but no no refund. I have package of 6 that never opened. Let with over $200 vet bill due to my dog scratching and biting the fleas.

My two dogs are flea and tick free. I recommend this product.
